How to change the basin of ivy
1. The method of removing basin.
The first thing we need to do is to remove it from the basin. We need to control the time well. Generally, we need to do this when the soil is relatively dry, because at this time the soil is shrinking, it is easy to get out of the basin, and the soil will not spread out.
We need to use bamboo to remove the surrounding soil, and then cut off some old roots and some too long roots, if there are rotten roots, then we should get rid of it. It needs to be neat to cut the roots, but the number of roots needs to be controlled, not just a little bit and a lot of them. In the process of picking the soil, we should pay attention to the soil of the capillaries, so that it will grow well after changing the basin.
2. Planting mat soil
Before transplanting, we should cover the bottom of the pot with some fragments or plastic gauze, so that it is better permeable and breathable. If it is a larger basin, we can put some more, and then cover it with coarse-grained soil, and finally move the tree in.
In the process of moving, we need to first put our soil in, then hold the plant with our hands, put it in and adjust its position, and finally tamp the soil, it is best not to leave a gap, otherwise there will be problems in the growth after that. Generally speaking, the pots we use are the original ones, and unless we can't put them into them, we will change them to bigger ones.
3. Replenish water
After changing the basin, we have to replenish the water for the first time, so that its roots can be better combined with the new soil, and then we have to wait until it is dry before rehydrating.
When replenishing water, because the old root is damaged, and the new root has not yet grown, so we can not water too much, otherwise the root is easy to rot. In general, we can sprinkle some water on the leaves, so that it can have water and the roots will not be damaged.
4. The shallow basin should be covered with moss and the deep basin should leave a "nozzle".
If we use a shallow basin, then we need to cover it with moss, but if we use a deep basin, we don't need to do this, so that watering will not lose water.
5. Make good use of the cultivated soil
Better soil fertility, ventilation and other aspects should be satisfied, we can configure it ourselves or buy it.

First observe it, and then take different treatment methods according to the situation. If the frostbite is relatively mild, we can remove its frostbitten branches and leaves and slowly heat up to help it recover; if the frostbite is more serious, we can dig it out and cut off the damaged roots and the upper branches and leaves, leaving only one or two better branches for planting and maintenance.
