Last Updated: 2024/11/06, In winter, the temperature is very low, causing many flower friends' gardenia to be frozen bad, wilting without spirit, what should we do at this time? First observe it, and then take different treatment methods according to the situation. If the frostbite is relatively mild, we can remove its frostbitten branches and leaves and slowly heat up to help it recover; if the frostbite is more serious, we can dig it out and cut off the damaged roots and the upper branches and leaves, leaving only one or two better branches for planting and maintenance.

1. Rescue methods

① can first observe the situation of plant frostbite, if it is only mild frostbite, that is to say, only aboveground leaves and twigs frostbite, you can first move the plant to a warmer place, not directly in a place with higher temperature, and then cut off all the frostbitten parts, in addition to normal watering, but also spray more water around the plant, which is conducive to its recovery.

If frostbite is more serious, the whole plant should be dug out of the soil to observe whether its roots are injured or not. if the roots are fresh, then it can be saved. Don't hurt the roots when digging.

② cut off all the damaged branches and leaves on the ground, leaving only one or two better branches.

After pruning, the ③ is replanted in a basin, and then placed in a place that is out of reach of the sun and where the temperature is suitable, not in a place where the temperature is too high.

④ is watered normally, but the water temperature must be the same as the room temperature, and there is no stagnant water, and the basin soil is not too wet; at the same time, it is necessary to spray water around the plant every day to make the air moist, which is conducive to the germination of its new buds.

After about a month of ⑤, new buds can be seen to grow out, and proper pruning can return to normal at this time.

2. Points for attention

When digging up plants and pruning leaves, ① must be careful not to hurt its roots, otherwise it may lead to the death of flowers that could have been saved.

If the roots of the plants dug up by ② have been frozen, it may be hopeless at this time, and it is recommended to buy new plants for cultivation.
