In recent years, with the continuous improvement of farmers' living standards, the rural consumer market has become increasingly active. Compared with cities, farmers are more likely to fall into the "consumption trap" and be infringed by fake and shoddy commodities. However, due to many farmers' lack of legal knowledge, lack of awareness of safeguarding their rights, and the need to pay more time and cost to safeguard their rights and interests, most rural consumers choose to admit their losses after their consumer rights and interests have been infringed. The protection of rural consumption rights has become a "blind area" that needs urgent attention.

In order to protect farmers' consumption rights and interests and make up for the shortcomings of rural consumption rights protection, first of all, efforts should be made to build a rural rights protection system. In view of the weakness of rural consumers' low ability to identify false and immature consumption concept, the relevant rights protection departments should enhance their active awareness, integrate the strength of the departments, and strengthen their work. Departments such as industry and commerce, quality supervision, agriculture and consumers' associations should establish a mechanism for safeguarding farmers' rights and grasp relevant information in a timely manner.

Secondly, we should strengthen publicity and improve farmers' awareness of safeguarding their rights. Many rural consumers do not have the habit of asking for purchase vouchers when they buy goods, and they do not know which department to turn to when safeguarding their rights. Some farmers want to complain, but they are unwilling to protect their rights because of the small amount of goods, too much trouble, and fear of misuse of agriculture. In view of these situations, it is necessary to strengthen pertinence, strengthen the publicity of the "Law on the Protection of consumers' Rights and interests" and other laws and regulations, and help the peasant masses to enhance their awareness of safeguarding their rights, self-protection, and risk prevention. Timely complaints and reports to relevant departments when problems are found, and good evidence materials are preserved to protect their legitimate interests.

Thirdly, we need to strengthen guidance and effectively solve the specific difficulties in safeguarding farmers' rights. The relevant departments should be based on reality, try their best to solve the practical difficulties in safeguarding farmers' rights, and strive to make the masses who safeguard their rights run less and benefit more.
