Vegetables and eggs generally rose slightly
According to monitoring data released by the Ministry of Commerce yesterday, market prices of edible agricultural products and means of production rose slightly from September 6 to 12 compared with the previous week. Among them, the price of vegetables stopped falling and rose again, and eggs continued to rise by 1.5%.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the average wholesale price of 18 major vegetables rose 1.3%, of which only cabbage, beans and celery declined slightly. Edible agricultural products such as meat, aquatic products and flour rose in an all-round way, but the average increase did not exceed 0.5%.
The Ministry of Commerce believes that it is mainly due to the advent of the National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival and the booming demand for edible agricultural products. Investment institutions believe that in terms of global agricultural prices, the upward trend has not changed. The net speculative position of speculative funds in the US agricultural and soft commodity market has exceeded the previous record of net bulls set in the first half of 2008, with CBOT wheat prices nearly 68 per cent higher than their June low.
