At present, the research on the prevention and control technology of heavy metal pollution mainly stays in the single technology, most of which are still in the research and experimental stage, lack of technical integration, low economy, weak operability, limited scope of application, and low actual remediation efficiency. especially in the remediation of heavy metal pollution, mature comprehensive technical measures suitable for China's national conditions, replicable and easy to popularize, and suitable for large-scale farmland treatment have not been found.

The prevention and control of heavy metal pollution of agricultural products is long-term and arduous. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to this and make a series of arrangements for comprehensive prevention and control. This year's Central Committee document No. 1 clearly stated that it is necessary to do a good job in the protection of heavy metal pollution; recently, the State Council specially approved the General Plan for the treatment of Outstanding problems in the Agricultural Environment (2014-2018) and the National Plan for Sustainable Development of Agriculture (2015-2030). The prevention and control of heavy metal pollution is taken as an important content, and clear requirements, objectives and tasks are put forward.

Therefore, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Finance and other ministries, and led by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, we have opened up the boundaries of departments, disciplines, and units, and organized cross-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary cooperation to tackle key problems.
