Ilan 52 A wetland is ecologically rich and is designated as a "national wetland." however, more than 90% of the wetlands with a total area of 298 hectares are private land. after the establishment of wetlands, land use was restricted and land prices fell, resulting in a rebound by many landlords. On the 21st, a number of landlords complained to the Ilan county government, hoping that the government would reduce the wetland to 100 hectares, or that the government would expropriate the land. The Ilan county government responded that it would reflect to the central government that the area of the wetland would be reduced and a wetland park would be set up.

However, the dismantling of wetlands has also aroused concern from the outside world. The Ilan branch of the Wild Conservation Association does not approve of the downsizing of wetlands. Yang, a commissioner surnamed Yang, said, "some landlords hope to sell their land and build houses, and some even actively develop the land. Large buildings will be built for sale after the land is changed." This will affect the ecology of the wetland. Ilan 52 A wetland is now well protected, with good bird conditions and rich ecology, but in other non-wetland reserves, flocks of birds used to gather, but now there are only a few birds left.

Sun Boyi: wetlands should be protected, but landlords' rights and interests should be protected.

Sun Po-Kai, a young man who has run for Ilan legislator and settled in Ilan, says that wetlands are basically not specific areas, and this whole area will be inhabited by birds and other organisms. "how can it be scaled down like this?" The government lacks good communication with farmers about the ecological significance of wetlands, as well as legal restrictions, rights and obligations. Most farmers have the impression that they are classified as wetlands. Many things cannot be done, land depreciation, development is limited, houses cannot be built, and so on. "but this place is easy to flood in low-lying areas, and it is not easy to develop, so it will form a wetland ecological space, not because the government classifies it as a wetland."

However, Sun also said that he agrees that the government should expropriate some wetlands, but it will also be financially difficult to collect all of them by the government. it can be done in the form of ecological compensation, as long as it is used amicably and not overexploited. "the government encourages the maintenance of ecology, and if there is no sale, the price of land will not be the key point."

In addition, Sun also points out that some landlords responded that because the land was classified as a wetland, the land price fell and they could not get a mortgage loan from the peasant association. "if the loan cannot be made, the Ilan county government should solve the problem, and the land should become wetlands, but their rights and interests should not be harmed as a result, and the government should assist and make a budget."
