Last Updated: 2024/09/20, When we grow aloe vera, we may want to plant another pot of aloe vera ourselves, and then we have to reproduce it. There are two specific methods: one is to divide the plant, break its stem base from its mother, or peel off the small plant that grows out of the root, and then plant it in the soil; the other is to cut it, cut off its well-growing robust leaves, disinfect and dry for a few days, and insert it into the new flower soil after the wound dries.

1. Ramet

Ramet is one of its ways of reproduction, which is more flexible because it can be carried out throughout the growing period of the plant.

The specific method is to break its stem base directly from its own matrix, or peel off the small plant that grows out of its roots, and then plant it into the soil. In addition, there is another way, that is, to remove its seedlings and mother plants with a knife, but we do not have to pull it out, as long as we let it stay in its original position for half a month, it can form its own roots, and then it can be transplanted directly with soil.

Another way is to peel it off and let it dry in a well-ventilated place for a few days until the wound grows better before colonization. It needs rehydration after that.

After this operation, we need to strengthen the management of it, because it needs to slow down seedlings, so we need to do several points, such as to give it shade.

2. Cuttage

Another way is to cuttage. This way mainly makes use of one of its characteristics, that is, its main stem without roots and the lower end of its lateral branches will have adventitious roots. We just need to separate it, and then we can form new roots.

We need to pay attention to the cutting environment, the general temperature is to maintain between 25 and 28, the soil temperature is different, at least two degrees higher than the air temperature, so that the root will grow faster. If the temperature is below 18 degrees Celsius, the long root will be greatly affected. At the same time, we can not let the soil too wet, and the air humidity is relatively high, usually between 80 and 90.

The specific method is to cut off its healthy leaves during the growing period, disinfect and dry them for a few days, and then insert them into the new flower soil after the wound dries. Don't go too deep, just avoid it falling down. Just after the cuttage, we have to give it shade, and we need to wait until its roots grow more.
