Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Fertilizing this flower depends on the frequency, quantity and composition of fertilization at different stages of growth. When planting flowers, during the growth period, it is necessary to apply synthetic fertilizer or rotten liquid fertilizer to it every half a month; before and after flowering, spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate once a month, twice a month; do not add fertilizer when flowering; fertilize once a month in severe winter, and stop fertilizing once it is less than 5 degrees, so that it can survive healthily.

1. Potted plants

If it is a potted plant, rotten leaves, coarse sand and garden soil should be used as cultivation soil, and burning grass ash and animal droppings can be added to it. The bottom of the basin should be drained with coarse sand, and the flowerpot should be relatively deep and placed in a cool area.

II. Growth period

20 days after planting, add two or three times of fertilizer, topdressing once in half a month, use synthetic fertilizer, or rotten liquid fertilizer, do not use fertilizer containing fluoride or alkaline fertilizer, otherwise leaves will be burned. If iron is lacking, ferrous sulfate can be sprayed. It is necessary to loosen the soil after fertilization, which is more conducive to the absorption of fertilizer. It has a greater demand for nitrogen and potassium, but it is still necessary to control phosphate fertilizer, because too much phosphate fertilizer will make its leaves turn yellow, so you can add some phosphate fertilizer when it blossoms.

3. Before and after flowering

At this stage, potassium dihydrogen phosphate is sprayed every half a month. After cutting the flowers, one or two quick-acting phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are used. You can water the roots with rice washing water, or use urea and special flower fertilizer twice a month. During the period from bud to flowering, magnesium nitrate is added twice a month. There is no need to add fertilizer during flowering. Liquid fertilizer can be added twice a month after flowering, which can make the leaves greener and help stems grow stronger.

IV. Severe winter

Fertilization can be applied once a month when the temperature is 5-8 degrees in severe winter. once it is lower than 5 degrees, it will be stopped until the temperature rises. Add eight to ten grams of bone meal on the edge of the basin from the end of February to the beginning of March.
