It is reported that the hybrid rice variety "Liangyou 0293" was approved by the National Variety approval Committee in 2006 (National Rice 2006045). According to Longping Hi-Tech, Bengbu, Anhui Province, is an area with a light incidence of rice blast. Anhui Province suffered a rare low temperature and rainy weather from July to August 2014, with a two-month average temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius, the lowest since 1994, and the lowest in Bengbu in half a century, according to data released by the Anhui Meteorological Center.
