Last Updated: 2024/11/05, I believe that many people have raised daffodils, but the aroma is overflowing than that of others, but they can't raise this feeling on their own. why? There are two main reasons, the first is that there is something wrong with the quality of the flower head you buy, and the second reason is improper maintenance, and the conditions you give it are not suitable for its growth, so it will not be able to emit fragrance.

1. Buy shoddy flower heads

Now there are many daffodil heads of poor quality on the market, and the perimeter of the main head in the middle part of some flower heads has not reached 15 cm, which shows that they have not fully developed. When you buy such a flower head, no matter how good you are, no matter how suitable the environment is, no matter how adequate the nutrients are, it will only let its leaves grow, while overgrowth of leaves will consume most of the nutrients, which will lead to fewer and fewer plants blooming. Even if the flowers do not have much aroma, or even no aroma.

2. The curing temperature is too high.

The origin of this plant is in the wild, and its florescence is in the early spring, when the outdoor temperature is colder. When we maintain indoors, especially in winter, the indoor temperature can reach about 20 degrees, which is easy to make its leaves overgrow and consume most of the nutrients, which affects the number and fragrance of flowers. It is best to keep the temperature between 10 and 12 degrees during the day and between 5 and 7 degrees at night. This is not only conducive to the opening of flowers, but also increase the aroma of flowers.

These are the two main reasons why your daffodils blossom but do not smell good. Finally, I would like to remind my friends that when the temperature is normal, if you keep the light for one hour every day, the fragrance of the flowers will be stronger.
