The Ministry of Agriculture deploys spring sowing in Northeast China to lay the foundation for a bumper harvest of autumn grain.
Grain Rain has passed, spring ploughing and spring sowing in Northeast China has entered an important stage. On April 24, the Ministry of Agriculture held a dispatching meeting on the spring ploughing and spring sowing situation in the four provinces (regions) in Northeast China, closely centering on the main line of "stabilizing grain income, adjusting structure, improving quality and efficiency," accurately studying and judging the situation, and responding scientifically and effectively. we will promote high standards and high quality to complete the task of spring sowing, and win the initiative to win a bumper harvest this year.
The northeast region is a "big granary" and an important commodity grain base, which plays an important role in stabilizing the overall situation of grain production in the country. The northeast is also a crop area, spring sowing and taking seedlings is very important. At present, the production situation of spring ploughing in Northeast China is generally good, the preparation work is solid, the supply of agricultural materials is adequate, and the soil moisture is better than in previous years, which is conducive to sowing. However, it is also faced with some difficulties, mainly due to the lack of moisture in 40 million mu of dry and white land in the traditional arid areas in the west, and waterlogging in the northeast of Heilongjiang and some areas of Hetao in Inner Mongolia. During the flood season, the flood situation in the Songhua River basin may be serious, the periodic low temperature may occur in summer, and the problem of drought and water shortage in some areas is also quite prominent. El Nino events continue to develop, and "flood in the south and drought in the north" may occur in summer. At the same time, the limited space for area increase and the downward pressure on food prices also bring challenges to food production. Agricultural departments at all levels in Northeast China must strengthen their confidence, overcome difficulties, make every effort to promote the smooth development of spring sowing, and firmly grasp the initiative to reclaim a bumper harvest.
As the agricultural saying goes, "if you don't plant fields in May, don't plant seedlings in June." At present, the cultivation of rice seedlings in Northeast China is coming to an end, sowing in the field is in full swing, and the farming season is very urgent. The Ministry of Agriculture requires that the four northeastern provinces (regions) should be based on the fight against disasters and win bumper harvests, strengthen guidance services, implement key measures, seize agricultural time, sow and cut in quickly, so as to make a good start and a good start for grain and agricultural production throughout the year. First, pay close attention to the implementation of the area. Strengthen policy publicity and information guidance, guide farmers to arrange the planting structure and implement the sown area. We will optimize and adjust the planting structure, appropriately reduce the planting of corn in high latitudes and arid areas, and change to drought-tolerant crops such as miscellaneous grains, beans, potatoes, silage corn, and so on. We will carry out pilot projects to change good grain to feed and rotation of grain and beans, and put them into practice in the fields as soon as possible. Second, pay close attention to the quality of sowing. Guide farmers to select suitable varieties according to the time of the land to prevent cross-zone planting. We will vigorously carry out deep loosening and soil preparation, popularize the techniques of raising rice seedlings in greenhouse, seed coating, corn ridging and mechanical precision sowing, so as to improve the sowing quality and strive to sow the whole seedling in one row. The third is to pay close attention to demonstration drive. We will do a good job in the pilot project of the green grain production model, and organize actions such as 80 million mu of rice water-saving irrigation, 100 million mu of corn biological control, and 20 million mu of grain to feed and raise circulation in the agro-pastoral ecotone. At the same time, pilot projects for the protection of black land will be carried out in Northeast China. Fourth, pay close attention to guidance services. Organize experts to formulate technical guidance by disaster species, regions and varieties, strengthen classification guidance, implement key technologies, and ensure the smooth development of spring sowing.
