Last Updated: 2024/11/05, This plant originated in South America and was later introduced into China. After it was introduced, it became popular in our country. About its reproduction, cutting is a very common way. So what are the specific steps?

1. Choice of time

If it is cultivated indoors, it is possible at any time of the year. However, in general, the survival rate is higher in spring and autumn. Because it is too cold in winter and too high in summer, it is not conducive to reproduction.

2. Selection of matrix.

If you want to improve the success rate, then this step is very important and must not be ignored. We can mix sawdust and garden soil in a ratio of one to two. After mixing, stir well. After that, add some cow dung as base fertilizer, but it doesn't need too much, just like sawdust. We can also use sand and peat soil, half of which are mixed evenly. In addition, some perlite can be mixed to make it permeable.

3. Selection of containers

Because it is a kind of herb, it will not grow too tall. In that case, the container does not have to choose too large. A diameter of fifteen to twenty centimeters is fine.

4. Selection of materials

You can't choose branches that are too old, that's for sure. We'd better choose those healthy branches that are free from disease and insect pests. After cutting it off, let the wound dry. In addition, you need to pick all the flowers. The leaves also need to be removed and left with 1/3.

5. Cuttage management.

Put the matrix into the flowerpot and make a small hole in the middle. The depth is two or three centimeters. Then, insert our treated branches into the hole. After that, the surrounding soil is compacted. After that, pour enough water. In addition, keep the scattered light of the sun. Then there is the temperature, which is controlled at 18 to 20 degrees.

6. Post-treatment

After waiting for about half a month to 20 days or so, we can observe the phenomenon of rooting. If there is no phenomenon of withering and decay, it will be successful.
