1. Brief introduction of the event:

In 2016, the Housewives Union Environmental Protection Foundation (hereinafter referred to as this Association) established a "community energy education base" to share the information of power saving in daily life, deepening the concept of "power saving, that is, invisible power generation" in people's lives.

In 2017, we will extend the tentacles of energy education to the community. Through a series of energy conservation education, to deepen the public's understanding of renewable energy, and through the operation and use of entities, as well as related courses, so that more people can easily use renewable energy in daily life.

The 815 blackouts in 2017 highlighted Taiwan's power problems. And saving electricity, that is, the most cost-effective power generation, will further reduce the consumption of electricity in daily life, and make the clean energy in life sustainable and inexhaustible, so this plan is entitled "Life is a power plant." it is expected to lead more people to make rational use of energy together.

Taiwan imports 98% of its energy, but its per capita electricity consumption is the 12th highest in the world, and domestic electricity consumption accounts for about 60% of the peak electricity consumption in summer. Therefore, it is an urgent task for Taiwan to reduce domestic electricity consumption.

However, as many people have gradually lost attention to platitudes such as energy conservation and carbon reduction, we will provide creative ways to save electricity that can take into account the quality of life. Therefore, this plan will provide carbon reduction tricks that are easy to practice in daily life, lead people to save electricity in daily life, and share energy knowledge and think about the possibility of action through lectures.

Curriculum objectives: apart from continuously promoting the concept of saving electricity, the 2018 energy education program "Life is a Power Plant" will also go a step further by providing ways to generate electricity in life, through courses that can be practiced in life. transform difficult energy issues into actions that everyone can participate in, hardware utilization and courses, and so on. Let more people know how to reduce the use of traditional electricity while taking into account the quality of life, thereby reducing their dependence on fossil fuels.

VI. Course period: starting from March 21, 2018, the fourth Wednesday of each month is from 10:00 to 12:00, and the whole course is expected to end in November.
