Last Updated: 2024/11/06, This kind of plant likes warm growth conditions, and winter is a hurdle for it, especially in the case of water culture. If you want to successfully spend the winter, you need the owner's careful care, and you have to make efforts in changing water, light and oxygen content.

1. Change water

Its roots are very lively and breathe very strongly, so if it is water raised, it should be regularly added water, the green algae on the roots should be cleaned, and its necrotic roots should be removed. Under normal circumstances, it should be replaced once every 2 or 3 days.

If it is a severe winter, then you can change it once every seven days. Every time you change the water, you can add a little nutrient solution. The nutrient solution should be exposed to the sun first, so that chlorine can be volatilized.

To keep it hydrated, dip only half of the root in water and leave the rest exposed to the air to help it breathe. If the dissolved oxygen content is insufficient, it is easy to rot roots.

II. Light and temperature

It tends to warm and cool areas, do not expose it to light, in the process of water cultivation should be placed in a good position, to have wind ventilation without strong light. Winter can not be lower than 14 degrees, if it is too low, it will be frostbite, pay attention to increase the temperature for it to keep warm, the humidity of the air is best about 80%, must not take the anthurium outside, otherwise it will be frostbite.

III. Oxygen enrichment

This kind of flower often faces a dilemma, that is, once the oxygen in the water is very small, its roots are easy to rot, so when it is raised in water, we must pay attention to its oxygen content, the most convenient way is to shake it, hold the flower in one hand, gently shake the container with the other hand, about ten times, through this method can increase the oxygen by about 30%. If conditions permit, you can also add a little hydrogen peroxide to the nutrient solution, only 1% of the component on the line, or use a small oxygen pump to add oxygen to it.
