Sina Financial News "2015 fourth China International Agricultural and Business Summit Forum" was held in Beijing on May 17th. Li Mingjun, dean of China Europe International Business School, said in his speech that after the 18th CPC National Congress, the discussion and practice of the new type of urbanization gradually upgraded, the reform of the agricultural land transfer system was ready to take place, the marriage of agriculture and capital, and the cooperation between agriculture and the Internet was in the ascendant and attracted wide attention. At the same time, Li Mingjun said bluntly that a series of problems such as farmland pollution and food safety have become increasingly prominent, and the income level of farmers engaged in agricultural production has a direct impact on the stability of rural society and the process of urbanization.

The following is a transcript of the speech:

Li Mingjun: good morning, leaders, distinguished guests and everyone!

First of all, on behalf of the China Europe International Business School, I would like to warmly welcome all the distinguished guests to the fourth China International Agricultural and Business Summit Forum in 2015. The Agricultural Business Forum, jointly organized by China Europe International Business School and Xike Biosphere Urban and Rural Co-ordination Research Institute, has been established for four years, and the ancient topics of agriculture, rural areas and farmers are constantly ushering in new opportunities and challenges.

The 18th CPC National Congress proposed to build a new agricultural management system with the combination of intensification, organization and socialization. After the 18th CPC National Congress, the discussion and practice of the new urbanization gradually upgraded, and the reform of the farmland transfer system was ready to develop. At the same time, as a virgin land in the modern commercial boundary, the marriage of agriculture and capital, the hand-in-hand between agriculture and the Internet is in the ascendant and has attracted wide attention. However, it can not be ignored that a series of problems such as farmland pollution and food safety have become increasingly prominent, and the income level of farmers engaged in agricultural production has a direct impact on the stability of rural society and the process of urbanization.

Since its establishment 20 years ago, CEIBS has combined the advanced management experience of the world with the reality of China, and has constantly pursued the depth of China in the global breadth of vision. China is a big agricultural country for 5000 years. Fei Xiaotong's rural economy in 1938 tore open the unique ecology of China's rural economy and the strong rural social tradition. Today, we still feel that in order to solve the problems of agriculture, rural areas and farmers in China, we need not only international advanced experience, but also an in-depth study of the actual situation and social traditions in China's rural areas.

I remember that at the second Agricultural Business Summit Forum, Professor Wen Tiejun expressed some pertinent views on the new agriculture, rural areas and farmers:

First, it is called cooperative agriculture. Second, it is called stabilizing rural areas, or sustainable rural areas. Third, it is called safety agriculture.

Our forum today is full of friends. We welcome guests from the Netherlands, domestic policy makers, well-known scholars, financiers, investors, Internet trendsetters and so on. Once a year, we are all looking forward to sharing practical information. China and Europe is a school with a deep sense of social responsibility and a sense of mission of the times. May we discuss here today. It can not only accumulate experience for the innovation model of agriculture and commerce, but also contribute to the broad future of rural areas.

Thank you and wish the forum a complete success.
