Last Updated: 2024/12/23, This plant, also known as "white begonia", is a shrub plant native to the tropics. After it was introduced into our country, it was widely planted. Its stem is very thin, and the leaves have silver spots, which we can easily see in the picture. If you want to raise a plant, then you need to know more about it. First, let's take a look at its breeding.

1. Sowing method

Timing: for this method, we'd better choose to do it at the beginning of spring.

Seed selection: in order to improve our chances of survival, we have to choose those that are fully mature, healthy and as full as possible.

Soil quality: we should mainly consider its drainage and nutrients, so we can choose sapropelic soil.

Specific steps: sow the seeds in the soil and cover them with a thin layer of soil. Next, we should control the temperature at about 16 degrees, and the humidity must be guaranteed. Wait patiently for it to grow roots and leaves. When it grows two or three leaves, it can be moved into the basin.

2. Cutting method

Time selection: for this method, it can be operated between May and June.

Material selection: we'd better choose the newly born twigs at the top of the mother plant, with a length of about 10 to 15 cm.

Specific operation: cut the selected material with sterilized scissors and wait for the incision to dry. After drying, insert it into the matrix. Keep spraying every day. After about two or three weeks, it can be observed to take root.

3. Split-plant method

Scope of application: when using this method, it is usually a clump of varieties.

Soil quality: refer to the soil for seed breeding.

Specific steps: divide the selected mother plant into several parts with a knife, each with a root. Be careful not to do too much, and do not damage the roots. Then, plant them separately in the matrix.
