Miaoli County "Maolihong" quality black tea evaluation competition, this year entered the eighth year, the county has 32 tea farmers, businessmen a total of 178 points to participate in the competition. In the southern trend and Bajia area of Miaoli City, growing tea was popular in the early years, but it shrank due to industrial changes. in order to revitalize the local tea industry, the Municipal Peasant Association sought the assistance of Taichung Branch of the soil and Water Conservation Bureau of the Council of Agriculture and the tea industry improvement farm eight years ago. and won the support of Miaoli county government and Miaoli city government, from the reorganization of production and marketing classes, tea garden management, tea cyanine harvest channel coordination, tea garden new planting and renewal of guidance, and the establishment of the "Maolihong" brand.

"Maolihong" brand black tea, with the selected tea cyanine of one heart and two leaves and the special way of making tea, makes the tea rhyme full of the beautiful flavor of pre-honey, middle fruit and later Huigan, and its quality and fame are improved year by year. It has a stronger aroma and taste similar to oriental beauty tea, and tea farmers have a more refined sense of import in recent years, which is becoming more and more popular.

This year, Qiu Chuifeng, deputy director of the Tea Industry improvement Field of the Council of Agriculture of the Executive Yuan, and others served as judges, and selected one special prize, five first prize, 10 gold prize, 16 silver prize, and 21 bronze award.
