Taiwan Xinbei honey-scented black tea won the first prize in the three Gorges Century Tea Factory

Sanxia District of New Taipei City is rich in "honey-fragrant black tea." the evaluation of Honey-fragrant black tea in New Taipei City is held every year. Although affected by the epidemic this year, 270 tea samples still participated in the competition. The three Gorges Peasant Association yesterday evaluated the list of winners and selected one special prize, 14 first prize, 23 gold prize and 31 silver prize. The three Gorges Peasants' Association pointed out that this time the tea is generally in good condition and has a rich taste, showing a complete aroma of honey, flowers and fruits, and the overall quality of the tea has been improved.

The three Gorges Peasant Association said that the honey-scented black tea produced in various tea areas of New Taipei City is mainly made from tea cyanine picked by small-leaf tea trees. Black tea is produced from May to September every year and managed without spraying agriculture. after waiting for the floating dust of the tea tree "little green leafhopper" to suck the tender leaves of the tea, the tea will produce a series of changes. After being carefully made and baked by various old tea makers, the honey-scented black tea with a slight natural fruit flavor can be produced. It also increases the price of tea cyanine in summer and autumn.

The tea for the evaluation of Mixiang black tea in New Taipei City came from tea areas such as three Gorges, Pinglin, Shiding, Sanzhi, Shiding, Linkou, Xizhi, Shenkeng and Shimen. The three Gorges Peasants Association invited tea industry experts such as Qiu Chuifeng, deputy director of the Tea Industry improvement Field of the Agricultural Commission of the Executive Yuan, and Su Yanshuo, director of Wenshan branch, to perform the evaluation.

The only special prize was won by the Risheng tea factory of the three Gorges, which has been operating on the ground for more than a century. Zhou Pingguo, the owner of the tea factory, has won three special prizes. He said that the climate this year is very good, and the honey taste of black tea is quite enough. the small green leafhopper fully sucks the tender leaves of tea, and the most important part should be in the tea-making part. it takes a lot of effort to pick stalks and remove incomplete tea.

Zhang Yongju, director general of the Sanxia District Peasant Association, said that the output of honey-fragrant black tea is very small, whether hot drink or cold soaking, and its market acceptance is also high.
