Lin Quanneng pointed out that at present, the water storage rate of the reservoir is high, so the regulatory discharge operation is carried out, calling on the people downstream to be alert and stay away from the riverbed. In addition, continuous rainfall has caused high water levels in some rivers and stagnant water on highways, the Ministry of Communications will close some stagnant water bridges and roads, and slopes along railways and highways will also strengthen safety monitoring to avoid disasters.

With regard to agricultural losses and fluctuations in vegetable prices, Lin Quanneng said that the Council of Agriculture will assist counties and cities in agricultural damage operations and prevent fluctuations in vegetable and fruit prices.

Chen Tianshou, vice chairman of the Council of Agriculture, said that at present, the damage is estimated to be more than 150 million yuan, especially in Yunlin County, Tainan, and Pingtung, where melons, fruits and leafy vegetables have been affected.

Chen Tianshou said that observing the recent situation in the Taipei fruit and vegetable wholesale market, the daily trading volume has been maintained at about 1000 tons, and the average daily trading price of vegetables is about NT $35 per kilogram. Now it has risen slightly to about NT $42 to NT $43. Will continue to pay attention. In addition, some stocks of frozen roots can be deployed, with more than 4000 tons in the private sector and 4000 tons under the control of the Council of Agriculture, adding up to about 8000 tons, and prices will be adjusted in due course.

Zhang Chuilong, the technical supervisor of the Ministry of Communications, said that at present, international routes are normal and 13 domestic flights have been cancelled. In the part of rail transport, the Taiwan railway is normal, and the high-speed railway has decided that after 12:00 this afternoon, the Taipei train will only travel to Miaoli, while the northbound train will only go to Taichung. Miaoli to Taichung will be handled by connection.

Chang Chui-long said that the Taiwan Railway also cooperated with the opening of additional shuttle buses, while the Highway Bureau provided passenger connections between Miaoli and Taiwan.

Zhang Chuilong said that a total of four shipping routes and a total of 39 flights were suspended today.
