This year, due to the dry climate and little rain, the overall quality of Gaoshan tea is not as good as it used to be. however, due to the dry and stable weather during the tea-making period, the roasting tea technology can make up for the improvement, so the quality of the tea competition this year has not declined but increased.

The Ren'ai Township Peasants' Association pointed out that the winter evaluation competition of Taiwan's Alpine Tea King focused on alpine fragrant oolong tea, but because there was no windy wind this summer and insufficient rainfall after autumn, drought also affected the production. The output of winter tea this year was 30% less than that of last year, but there were still 611 entries. After three days of strict evaluation, the elimination rate was 41.6%.

Huang Zhengzong, the judge of Taiwan Alpine Tea King Competition and director of the fish pond, said that this year, the climate was dry and there was little rain, so the water content of tea was not enough, and the fertilizer absorption rate of tea trees was not good because of insufficient water. As a result, the quality of tea cyanine this year is lower than that of previous years, and the taste of tea soup is also lighter, but the overall level has risen because the tea-making environment and technology have not declined.

Huang mentioned that although the raw materials of tea cyanine are not as good as in previous years, the dry and warm weather is very suitable for making tea, and the effect of withering indoors or outdoors will be better. under the appropriate environment and tea-making techniques, the overall level of the tea samples will be improved. with good aroma, glycol and smoothness of the tea, the elimination rate will drop from nearly 50% in the past to 40%.

The Renai Peasants' Association said that after the final election of the jury, tulip tea industry Xu Caisheng won the special prize this year, followed by Ding Shida, Wencheng Tea Cangji Xiuyi, Jipin Xiang Company, Qingzhi Tea Factory, and Chunyi Tea Factory Forestry Committee, with 10 first prizes, 79 gold prizes and 262 excellent prizes, which will be presented at the former post station of the association on the 12th.
