After the seedlings were unearthed, the plastic film was cut open with a knife in time to prevent scalding seedlings. At the same time, the open plastic film was buried strictly in wet soil. Strengthening seedling management is the key to cultivate strong seedlings.

   1. Replenishing seedlings (replanting) when the seedlings are found to be seriously deficient, they need to be replanted in time, and the seedlings with dense growth can also be transplanted to ensure the number of seedlings. When raising seedlings in a large area, it is necessary to sow some seedlings in other plots as replanting seedlings.

   2. Fertilizing and watering seedlings are generally not watered before they are unearthed. The seedlings should be irrigated in time, irrigated 2-3 times in May and June, and applied chemical fertilizer twice combined with irrigation, mainly available nitrogen fertilizer, such as urea, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium sulfate, etc., 10 kg / mu in the early stage and 20 kg / mu in the middle stage. The nitrogen content of ammonium bicarbonate and thiamine is low, so it should be applied more appropriately. After entering the rainy season in July and August, there can be less watering or no watering, topdressing phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to promote seedling enrichment, 20 kg of diammonium phosphate per mu plus 20 kg of potassium chloride. In addition to soil fertilization, foliar fertilizer should also be sprayed, 0.3% 0. 3% in 7-10 days. 5% urea or potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be sprayed once, and foliar fertilizer should be sprayed 3-5 times in a row. Rain Water should pay attention to drainage in many places to prevent rotten roots and seedlings from growing too much, and pour frozen water once before freezing the soil to prevent striping during overwintering.

   3. Intertillage weeding after watering, on the one hand, reduce the competition for nutrients between weeds and seedlings, at the same time, it can prevent soil consolidation, reduce ground evaporation, and provide a good environment for the growth of seedlings.

   4. The main root of the broken walnut is well developed, without root cutting treatment, and the lateral root growth is very weak, which is disadvantageous to survival and slow seedling during the establishment of the garden. Therefore, root cutting treatment should be carried out in late summer and early autumn to promote the development of lateral roots. The operation method is to insert the main root into the soil at an angle of 45 °with a root-cutting shovel at a distance of 20 cm from the seedling between the rows, and cut off the main root. After root cutting, water was watered once and fertilization was applied at the same time to promote the development of new roots. After cutting off the root, the lateral root of the seedling is well developed, and the survival rate of transplanting is high.

   5. Burying the soil to prevent cold in winter, low temperature in winter is easy to make walnut seedlings freeze to death. In the past, the seedlings were often put out to prevent cold. Now it can be stubble after falling leaves in winter, and then cover 10 to 20 centimeters of soil, the effect is very good. Areas that are not too cold in winter can only bury soil at the root neck to protect against the cold.

   6. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests of walnut seedlings can refer to the control methods of big trees, giving priority to prevention, and diseases and insect pests should be controlled as soon as possible.
