The fourth China International Agro-Business Summit Forum was held on the Beijing campus of China Europe International Business School in 2015. The theme of the forum is "Cross-border: ushering in a New era of Modern Agriculture". Representatives of e-commerce enterprises focused on the opportunities and challenges facing China's agriculture.

Wu Minzhi, vice president of Ali, said that Ali already has the conditions to enter the rural Taobao market. However, to realize the two-way flow of "online goods to the countryside" and "agricultural products to the city", we still need to break through the bottleneck of rural logistics and information flow. Alibaba launched the rural Taobao Thousand Counties and Thousand villages Plan, which plans to invest 10 billion yuan to set up 1000 county-level service centers and 100000 village-level service stations within five years.

Ma Jianrong, vice president of JD.com, said: the development of the Internet in China's rural areas is still relatively backward, and the Internet penetration rate between urban and rural areas is quite different. JD.com is ready to speed up the development of rural e-commerce service strategy and innovate new rural logistics methods.

During the forum, a project called "CEIBS Alumni support E Farm Plan" was set up to try to use mobile Internet to help rural development, increase farmers' income, and explore new models of poverty alleviation in rural areas.
