Last Updated: 2024/11/25, Friends who have raised flowers all know that soil plays an important role in the cultivation of a plant. It comes from the tropics, so its requirements for soil quality are relatively special compared to other plants. So, what exactly does it require? What kind of soil is the most suitable for cultivation?

1. Specific requirements

(1) First of all, it is loose and breathable. Think about it, planting in soft, well-ventilated soil, plants can breathe freely, better growth.

2) Nutrition. The roots of the plant absorb nutrients mainly from the soil. Choosing nutrient-rich soils is essential if subsequent maintenance is not to take too much effort.

(3) The third point is the degree of acidity. Specifically, this plant is more suitable for growing in acidic soil. However, you need to pay attention to weak acid, not too much.

(4) Water retention and fertilizer retention should also be good. This requirement is also significant for promoting the subsequent growth and development of the plant.

(5) It is clean and hygienic and does not contain toxic substances. If you are worried, you can sterilize it before planting. It's no trouble, just expose yourself to the sun.

(6) The last point is that drainage is good and water cannot be accumulated.

2. Preparation of soil

(1) The first option is to mix peat soil, broken brick particles, and coarse chaff. The ratio of volume to volume should be 4:2:4.

(2) The second option would be a mixture of moldy soil (finer), crushed red brick particles, and wheat husks (preferably damp and decayed). They're also four to two to four. This preparation method is basically the same as the first one, and the effect is not much different.

(3) You can also mix coconut bran and perlite. However, the volume of the former should be 95%, and the latter should be 5%.

(4) Mix peat soil and humus soil, and add an appropriate amount of bone meal (which is rich in phosphorus fertilizer), which can also be used. As for the ratio, it could be four to four to two.
