In order to ensure the safety of agricultural production, the quality and safety of agricultural products and the safety of the ecological environment, and to safeguard the safety and health of people, according to the relevant provisions of the regulations on the Administration of pesticides and examined by the National Pesticide Registration and Evaluation Committee, it was decided to take further measures to ban and restrict the use of seven pesticides, including chlorosulfuron, aminobenzenesulfuron, methanesulfuron, formearsine, chlorpyrifos and triazophos. The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows.

I. as of 31 December 2013, the pesticide registration certificate of chlorosulfuron (including raw drugs, single-dose and compound preparations, the same below) will be revoked, and the domestic sale and use of chlorosulfuron will be prohibited as of 31 December 2015.

II. As of December 31, 2013, the registration certificate of single-dose product of ambesulfuron-methyl shall be revoked, and the domestic sale and use of single-dose product of ambesulfuron-methyl shall be prohibited from December 31, 2015; the product registration certificate of original drug and compound preparation of ambesulfuron-methyl shall be cancelled from July 1, 2015, and the domestic sale and use of compound preparation products of aminosulfuron-methyl will be prohibited as of July 1, 2017.

III. As of December 31, 2013, the registration certificate of metsulfuron-methyl single-dose product shall be revoked, and the domestic sale and use of metsulfuron-methyl single-dose product shall be prohibited from December 31, 2015; the product registration certificate of metsulfuron-methyl and compound preparation shall be revoked from July 1, 2015, and the sale and use of metsulfuron-methyl compound preparation products in China shall be prohibited as of July 1, 2017. Keep the export registration of metsulfuron-methyl for overseas use, and enterprises can apply to change the existing registration to export registration for overseas use before July 1, 2015.

4. From the date of this announcement, the applications for pesticide registration of formearsine and formearsine shall be stopped, and the new pesticide registration certificates of formearsine and formearsine shall be stopped; as of December 31, 2013, the pesticide registration certificates of formearsine and formearsine shall be revoked, and as of December 31, 2015, the sale and use of formearsine and formomethyl arsine in China will be prohibited.

5. From the date of this announcement, applications for registration of chlorpyrifos and triazophos on vegetables shall cease to be accepted, and new registrations of chlorpyrifos and triazophos on vegetables shall be stopped; as of December 31, 2014, the registration of chlorpyrifos and triazophos on vegetables shall be cancelled, and the use of chlorpyrifos and triazophos on vegetables will be prohibited as of December 31, 2016.
