Aquatic plants have well-developed roots, strong stems, well-developed aerated tissues, soft and transparent leaves, and some filamentous leaves. And most of the aquatic plants are both beautiful and easy to raise, so they are very suitable for raising in the courtyard. So what kinds of aquatic plants do you have? Water-like aquatic flowers are very common in subtropical areas, such as our common lotus, yellow iris, Chiqu vegetable, calamus, cattail, Sagittaria, barracuda, Zili flower (water bamboo taro) and so on.
Water-holding plants are plants that grow on the surface of the water. Most water-holding plants have roots, while the rest do not. Their roots are swaying in the water to absorb nutrients. Water-standing plants can generally be divided into two categories, namely, deep aquatic plants and shallow aquatic plants, that is, the roots and roots of plants grow in the sediment of the water, stems and leaves protrude out of the water, and some species grow on wet shores.
2. Floating leaves
Floating-leaf aquatic flowers are widely distributed in North Africa and tropical Southeast Asia, and this type of plant floats on the water. The common rhizome is well-developed, the flowers are large and colorful, and there are more gases stored in the body, so that the leaves or plants can float smoothly on the water surface, and the stomata are also born on the upper surface of the leaves.
Some floating plants are completely floating on the water surface, such as duckweed, hyacinth, Manjianghong, locust duckweed, etc.; some rhizomes are buried in the bottom mud, while the leaves float on the water surface, such as water lilies; others are rooted in the bottom mud, the stem is slender and drawn out of the water, the internodes of the stems on the water surface are shortened, the floating leaves are dense at the top of the stem, and the petiole has air bags, such as water lily. That is, our common water lilies, king lilies, Pingpeng grass, Euryale seeds, herbs and so on.
3. Floating class
Floating aquatic flowers often grow in warm and tropical areas, the roots do not grow in the mud, plants float on the surface of the water, drifting around with the current, wind and waves. The common ones are Magnolia, water hyacinth, locust leaf duckweed, water soft-shelled turtle, water poppy and so on.
4. Submerged water
Submerged aquatic flowers often grow in ponds, ditches, streams, hot springs and reservoirs. The rhizome is born in the mud, the whole plant sinks into the water body, and the ventilatory tissue is well developed.
A plant that is completely submerged in water, its roots are sometimes underdeveloped or degraded, all parts of the plant can absorb water and nutrients, and the ventilatory tissue is particularly developed, which is conducive to gas exchange in the absence of air in the water. Most of the leaves of these plants are banded or filamentous, such as our common black algae, goldfish algae, foxtail algae, bitter grass, Potamogeton crispus and so on.
