(1) Variety sources and adaptive regions

It is a spring soybean variety bred by Soybean Research Institute of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences with bus 7014 (Jilin No. 5) as female parent and bus 66123 (Jilin No. 1) as male parent. It was examined and approved by Jilin Provincial crop Variety approval Committee in 1985. It was examined and approved by the National crop Variety approval Committee in 1989. This variety is suitable to be planted in Tonghua, Changchun, Jilin, Yanbian and the southeast of Siping area. It is also suitable for planting in the counties in the south of Heilongjiang Province and the early-maturing areas in the north of Liaoning Province.

Jilin 21 is a spring soybean variety bred by soybean research institute of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences with bus 7622 as female parent and bus 7335 (Heinong 23 × Jining 71021) as male parent. It was examined and approved by Jilin Provincial crop Variety approval Committee in 1988. This variety is suitable for planting in the middle and late maturity areas in the middle and south of Jilin Province, as well as in the northern part of Liaoning Province.

In 1985, the average yield of this variety was 19.3 kg per mu, which was higher than that of the standard variety Changnong 4 in 1985 and 11% higher than that of Changnong 4 in two-year production test.

3. Changnong No. 5

Changnong 5 is a spring soybean variety bred by Changnong 4 as female parent and Jilin 20 as male parent in Changchun Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Jilin Province. It was examined and approved by Jilin Provincial crop Variety approval Committee in 1990. This variety is suitable to be planted in the planting area of medium-mature varieties in Changchun, Jilin Province.

This variety participated in the regional trial in 1989, with an average yield of 173.9 kg per mu, 1.7% higher than that of the standard variety Jilin 20. In the production test in 1989, the average yield per mu was 173.4 kg, which was 13.9% higher than that of Jilin 20.

4. Tiefeng No. 24

(1) Variety sources and adaptive regions

Tiefeng 24 is a spring soybean variety bred by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Tieling City, Liaoning Province, using Tiefeng 18 as female parent and Kaiyu 8 as male parent. It was examined and approved by Liaoning Provincial crop Variety approval Committee in 1988. This variety can be planted in Liaoning except Changtu Xifeng, Qingyuan, Huanren, Xinbin, Tieling and Kaiyuan, which have a short growth period in the north and northeast. It is also suitable for planting in Tangshan and Chengde of Hebei, Miyun of Beijing, Xinzhou of Shanxi and most areas of Sichuan and Shanghai.

This variety participated in the regional trial in Liaoning Province in 1985, and the average yield per mu was 158.1 kg, which was 11.6% higher than that of the control variety Tiefeng 18. In 1987, he participated in the national northern regional trial at 10 sites in Liaoning, Hebei and Shanxi, and the average yield per mu was 153.2 kg, 21.4% higher than that of Tiefeng 18.
