As we all know, fertilizer is an indispensable substance in the process of agricultural production, so do you know how many kinds of fertilizers there are? And what are their respective functions? The following editor will learn and understand it briefly with you.

Fertilizer can be divided into organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer.

Common organic fertilizer: feces and urine, animal and plant residues, bean cake, oil residue, horseshoe, rice water, drink leftover yogurt and other fermented products.

Common inorganic fertilizers: urea, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, ferrous sulfate, ammonium bicarbonate and so on.

Most compound fertilizers belong to inorganic fertilizers, but a small number of products belong to long-acting organic fertilizers. We must see clearly the commodity names, raw materials and methods of use when using them.

Organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer have different use methods, and better results can only be achieved by using corresponding ways according to different fertilizers. Otherwise, it will not only have a good effect, but also cause fertilizer damage or waste of fertilizer.

(1) nitrogen fertilizer: that is, chemical fertilizers with nitrogen nutrients as the main components, including ammonium bicarbonate, urea, ammonium, ammonia, ammonium chloride and ammonium sulfate.

(2) Phosphate fertilizer: chemical fertilizer with phosphorus nutrient elements as the main composition, including ordinary calcium superphosphate, calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer and so on.

(3) potassium fertilizer: that is, the chemical fertilizer with potassium nutrient elements as the main component, at present, there are not many main varieties, such as potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate and so on.

(4) compound and mixed fertilizers: that is, fertilizers contain two kinds of fertilizers with three elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and ternary compound fertilizers containing three elements (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). Among them, mixed fertilizer has been popularized rapidly all over the country.

(5) Trace element fertilizers and some medium element fertilizers: the former, such as those containing boron, zinc, iron, molybdenum, manganese, copper and other trace elements, and the latter, such as calcium, magnesium, sulfur, etc.

(6) Fertilizers beneficial to some crops, such as steel slag silicon fertilizer on rice, cobalt fertilizer on legume crops, and agricultural rare earths on sugarcane and fruit. There are 16 kinds of essential nutrient elements for crops, except carbon, hydrogen and oxygen are absorbed from the air, the rest need to be fertilized to meet the needs of normal crop growth.

According to the nutrient demand of crops, it is divided into a large number of element fertilizers, including nitrogen fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer; medium element fertilizer, including calcium, magnesium, sulfur fertilizer; trace element fertilizer, including zinc, boron, manganese, molybdenum, iron, copper fertilizer; in addition, there are some beneficial element fertilizers such as silicon fertilizer, rare earth fertilizer and so on.

To sum up, I briefly introduce some of the more common ones, and you can leave a message to see what other knowledge you need to continue to learn.
