Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Although this plant looks very simple, it won't grow very well if you don't put your heart into it. If you know a little about the dragon spitting beads, you will know that the biggest problem encountered in the process of raising it is that it does not blossom or the number of flowers is very small. What is the reason for this, and how should we deal with it?

First, how long is the florescence?

If it is an ordinary family planting, its flowering period is from June to September. If it is a professional method, precise control of water and fertilizer, it can blossom from May to December. It can be cut to help it grow more branches in order to bloom more flowers.

In March or April every year, before the new branches grow, cut off all the upper branches about ten to fifteen centimeters above the flowerpot, so that the flowers can bloom in May. After the flowers have withered, the pedicels should be removed, the soil loosened and fertilized, and the flowers can grow again in August and September. After the flowers fade, the branches will be cut off again to loosen the soil and fertilize, and they will blossom again in early December.

Reasons and measures for non-flowering

1. First of all, the most important reason is that the flower friends do not water it properly in the process of raising it. some people are afraid that it does not have enough water and does not grow well, so they always give it a lot of water. In the basin, due to being in a wet state for a long time, the breathing of the root is not smooth, the nutrition of the leaf is not enough, and it slowly turns yellow and falls, which affects the flowering. At this time, watering should be suspended immediately to help drain the water from the basin, and then scientific watering should be carried out.

During its growth, give it enough water, but not too much, do not water too much when blooming, let alone put water on the flowers, the rainstorm weather should move it to the house, otherwise the water will drop the flowers and the florescence will be shorter. It should be placed in a windy and sheltered area in summer, and watering should be suspended if it stops growing temporarily in winter.

2. It needs sunlight very much, and it needs enough light when it grows and blossoms. If it does not meet its needs, the stem will grow and affect the flowering, so give it plenty of sunshine except in summer. If its growth lacks fertilizer, the number of flowers will be very small, so to add a little thin fertilizer to it, the proportion of water can be higher, it can be used as water and fertilizer, about once a month, a total of three times.
