The meat quality is better than that of American colorful pheasant, especially the high content of amino acid.

2. Hebei subspecies

The appearance is similar to that of Northeast subspecies, but the white eyebrow pattern is wider and the white collar is wider, especially at the front neck, the adult male pheasant weighs 1000-1300g and produces 20-25 eggs per year with an average egg weight of 26.7g.

3. East China subspecies

The shape is the same as that of Northeast subspecies, and the average body weight is 1135G. Due to the lack of systematic breeding, the production performance is unstable.

4. Blackened pheasant

The feathers of adult male pheasants are similar to those of peacocks, while those of female pheasants are dark brown. There is no significant difference in production performance and body weight between Qicai pheasant and colorful pheasant.

5. Albino pheasant

It is selected and bred by American colorful pheasant after gene mutation. the feathers of male and female pheasants are all white, and their weight and production performance are close to those of colorful pheasants.

6. American colorful pheasant

American colorful pheasant is the most widely distributed and most common pheasant breed, which is bred by the cross between East China subspecies and Mongolian pheasant in China. its feather color is basically similar to that of pheasant in China, and its feather is slightly lighter than that of pheasant in China. the white part of the collar is a little thinner. After years of breeding and breeding, its body weight and production performance have been greatly improved compared with the original species. The body weight of the bred male pheasant can reach 1800-2200 and drop to 1500-1800g after sexual maturity. The body weight of female pheasant is 1250g, and the weight before laying is 1300-1600g.
