For planting friends, chemical fertilizer is naturally all too familiar. If you want to improve the yield and quality of crops, you have to apply nitrogen fertilizer, potash fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer and other fertilizers. These three fertilizers are essential fertilizers for the growth and fruit of crops or fruit trees, especially potash fertilizer, which plays a very key role in fruit quality. What are the commonly used potash fertilizers? What are their advantages and disadvantages? Let's go and have a look next.

What are the common potash fertilizers? What are their advantages and disadvantages?

Potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, organic potassium, biological potassium, humic acid potassium, fulvic acid potassium, etc., of which the first five are the most common, and plant ash is also a common potash fertilizer in rural areas.

1. Potassium chloride

Fertile and acidic, with the advantages of low price, high potassium content, strong solubility and quick effect, it is suitable to be used as base fertilizer and topdressing fertilizer in places where Rain Water is more. Plots with drought and water shortage should be controlled or not used, and are often used on field crops that are insensitive to chlorine. However, because it contains chloride ions, long-term use is easy to cause soil saline-alkali hardening, so it is best not to apply potassium chloride in saline-alkaline soil.

2. Potassium sulfate

The potash fertilizer is often used on crops that avoid chlorine and like potassium, such as onions, garlic, leeks and other vegetables, with a potassium content of about 50% and a sulfur content of about 18%. Potassium and sulfur are essential nutrients for crops, and do not contain chlorine. It is more suitable for all kinds of soil and crops to be used as base fertilizer, topdressing and so on.

Advantages: low price, high potassium content, in addition to potassium can also provide sulfur.

Disadvantages: it is a physiologically acidic fertilizer, the sulfur contained in it is easy to combine with calcium to form micro-soluble calcium sulfate, which can cause soil acidification and consolidation after application.

3. Potassium nitrate

Potassium nitrate, which contains 13.5% nitrate nitrogen and 46% potassium, is a chlorine-free potassium and nitrogen compound fertilizer made by dissolution and recrystallization of sodium nitrate and potassium chloride. Suitable for topdressing, often used in vegetables, tobacco, melons and fruits and other crops, for fruit expansion has a very good effect. This kind of potash fertilizer has moderate price and good quick solubility. it is a physiologically neutral fertilizer and is generally not easy to cause soil acidification when used for a long time. Because it contains nitrate, there will be some safety risks in the processing.

4. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate

Potassium dihydrogen phosphate is a kind of potash fertilizer with very good fruit color, which contains 52% phosphorus and about 34% potassium. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be used as base fertilizer, seed fertilizer, topdressing, seed soaking and so on. Among them, the fertilizer content is relatively high, and the price is also relatively high.

Advantages: high content of phosphorus and potassium, can supplement phosphorus and potassium at the same time, the dosage is small, the effect is obvious.

Disadvantages: the disadvantage is that the price is higher and there are more fakes in the market.

So far, this is the end of the introduction of commonly used potash fertilizer and its advantages and disadvantages. If you want to plant crops or fruit trees with high yield and good quality, it is recommended to use correct potash fertilizer and master scientific application methods.
