Last week, light and heat conditions in most parts of the north were good, which was conducive to crop growth; effective precipitation appeared in most parts of North China, and drought was alleviated in some areas; there was still no effective precipitation in central Liaoning and western Shandong Peninsula, and the drought continued. Heavy precipitation occurred in the eastern part of the southwest, along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and southern China, and floods occurred in some areas, but the precipitation was beneficial to the storage of water in the reservoirs and ponds in the south of South China. The high temperature weather occurred in the south-central part of Jiangnan and most of South China for 3-6 days, which was disadvantageous to early rice filling and late rice seedling raising. Most of the southwest region has a good match of light, temperature and water, which is conducive to crop growth; there is more precipitation in western Yunnan, and the drought is further alleviated.

It is expected that this week, the main rainfall areas in China will be located in South China, Yungui, Jianghan, Jianghan, Jianghuai and the central and western parts of the south of the Yangtze River, with 120-180 mm rainfall in parts of eastern Jianghan, South China and Yunnan. There are multiple episodes of precipitation in North China, with a cumulative rainfall of 20 mm to 40 mm, including 60 mm to 80 mm in the central and eastern part of North China, which is conducive to the relief of drought. However, there is still no effective precipitation in the southwest of Northeast China, northern Shaanxi and western Shandong Peninsula, and drought will occur and develop in some areas. From July 21 to 24, there were heavy to torrential rain and local torrential rain in southeastern China, western Jiangnan, Jianghan and Jianghuai. Short-term heavy precipitation was easy to cause flooding, which was disadvantageous to the growth and development of crops and the harvest of early rice in the western part of Jiangnan.

It is expected that the high temperature in Xinjiang will continue this week, with the highest temperature in most areas reaching 3538 ℃ and the local temperature exceeding 42 ℃. The high temperature is not conducive to the growth and development of cotton and other crops, and is easy to lead to snow-melting floods.
