Soft-shelled turtle, also known as soft-shelled turtle, is often called a son of a bitch. Because of its delicious meat and rich nutrition, soft-shelled turtle is one of the favorite nourishing aquatic delicacies. In many cases, soft-shelled turtles are regarded as close relatives of turtles, in fact, they are completely different species, but now soft-shelled turtles, like turtles, have many farmed areas and different species. The breeding of soft-shelled turtle starts from the soft-shelled turtle fry, so how to select and select the soft-shelled turtle fry? How should soft-shelled turtle fry be released and cultivated? Let's get to know it.

Selection and selection of soft-shelled turtle fry

At present, there are three native species of soft-shelled turtle in China, namely, Chinese soft-shelled turtle, soft-shelled turtle and soft-shelled turtle, among which purebred Chinese soft-shelled turtle is the first choice. It is required that the farmed soft-shelled turtle seedlings should be disease-free, neat, dynamic and fresh in terms of quality. Do not raise foreign soft-shelled turtles that have not been quarantined by customs or do not know where they come from.

In addition, when selecting soft-shelled turtle fry, we can analyze the area where soft-shelled turtle farmers are located and roughly understand the culture model in this area, so as to judge the quality of soft-shelled turtle in this area. A healthy soft-shelled turtle can hatch 3-7 times a year, 3-22 eggs each time. By analyzing and judging the data, we can roughly understand the health and production of soft-shelled turtles. Note that farmers are generally not advised to buy turtle seedlings hatched on the same day, and do not choose inbreeding seedlings, which can effectively improve the survival rate of soft-shelled turtle seedlings.

Larval rearing of soft-shelled turtle

1. Prepare before stocking

① pond preparation: the pond area is generally about 5 mu, the slope ratio of the pond is 1 ∶ 2, the bottom of the pond is flat, the silt thickness is about 25 cm, and the water depth is 1.8 to 2.5 meters.

② water source preparation: the water source of the pond should be adequate, the water quality should be good and pollution-free, it should meet the water standard for fish culture, and the pH value should be maintained between 7 and 8.5.

Preparation of ③ facilities: an anti-escape wall is built around the pond; every 200m2 the pond uses cement boards or boards to build a bait table for soft-shelled turtles to rest and bask in their backs.

Note: clear pond disinfection and soft-shelled turtle body disinfection should be done before stocking.

2. Soft-shelled turtle fry restocking

When stocking, if the soft-shelled turtle species can swim away close to the surface of the water, if the soft-shelled turtle seedlings are not eaten, they can be directly picked up by hand and scattered in the pond. The suitable stocking density is about 250 million soft-shelled turtle fry per mu. After putting the larvae into the pond, they should stop feeding for 1-2 days and prepare appropriate juvenile turtle feed.

3. Feed feeding

When putting feed, it should be fed away from the 2cm-3cm of the water surface to reduce the interference to the soft-shelled turtle fry. The feed should be controlled for an hour and a half. In the hot season, the feed should be fed before sunrise and sunset.

4. Cultivation and management

The most suitable temperature for the soft-shelled turtle to grow is 30 ℃-32 ℃, and the food intake of the soft-shelled turtle is proportional to the temperature, but the highest temperature should not exceed 32 ℃, and the temperature should be kept stable as far as possible. Every morning and evening, the inspection should be carried out to check the situation of the escape wall and the enemy, and to understand the eating and water quality of the soft-shelled turtle. Every 8-10 days to change the water, each time the water level in the pond to exclude 20cm-25cm, and then fill the water, the transparency of the water in the pond should be controlled at 30cm-35cm.

To sum up, it is not easy to raise turtle fry well, the most important thing is to provide them with a quiet, sunny, clean and comfortable growth environment, while mastering the cultivation and release technology, combined with later management, in order to achieve a bumper harvest of soft-shelled turtle fry yield and quality.
