I. common varieties of nanmu seeds
1. New golden nanmu
It means newly mined nanmu material. This kind of material is also very rare now. Because the state forbids logging and protection is relatively strict. So the quantity is very small, and it takes a lot of risk to get it.
2. Sunken wood
It is also known as ebony, golden nanmu. These gloomy golden nanmu are mainly buried in the ground or flooded into the river, some even after thousands of years of history, these gloomy golden nanmu are mostly found in Sichuan and other places in China.
3. Old golden nanmu
It is the old golden nanmu material, it is not difficult to understand that it is an old golden nanmu material. It can be said that these old materials come from a variety of sources. Some were even torn down from the old houses of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Others are obtained from large-scale demolition of the three Gorges and the Sichuan earthquake. Some of them are obtained from the mausoleums of emperors, some of which are thousands of years old.
Second, how to raise seedlings of Nanmu seeds?
1. Collection and processing of seeds
The fruit ripening period of Cunninghamia lanceolata is from the middle of November to the middle of December, so the best collection time is the middle and late December. It is best to spread the film under the healthy and mature golden nanmu tree, so that the ripe fruit falls naturally on the film, and then the fruit is collected. After the fruit is collected, it should be accumulated indoors, spray a small amount of water into the fruit first, and then seal the fruit with a thin film for a time when the pulp of the fruit is just rotten but the seed is still intact.
2. Seedbed preparation
The hinterland with warm and humid, loose soil and good drainage should be selected as the seedbed, and the seedbed should be weeded 1-2 weeks before sowing, then turn the soil deeply twice, apply base fertilizer after the first time, and disinfect it with 50 times of 40wt% formaldehyde or 0.1 ~ 0.3wt% potassium permanganate solution after the second time, and the amount of base fertilizer is 2300-2600kg/ mu.
3. Sowing seeds
At the end of April and the beginning of May in the second year, the seeds were separated from the river sand by running water washing, and then disinfected with 0.5wt% potassium permanganate solution for 30 minutes, and then treated intermittently with 50 ℃ warm water for 3 days, so that the seedlings could emerge neatly and could emerge about 10 days ahead of time. The strip sowing method was used to sow seeds on the treated seedbed according to row spacing about 20cm, furrow depth about 5cm, plant spacing about 5cm, and the thickness of soil cover was 1-2cm. In the process of implementation, on-demand method can also be used to sow seeds. After the soil cover is completed, it should be watered once, then covered with film, and a sunshade should be built for heat preservation and moisturizing. When the seedbed is about to dry, it should be watered in time, and not too much at a time. It is best to water the seedbed moist but without stagnant water. In this way, seedlings emerge one after another after about a month, the emergence period is about 18 days, and the emergence rate can reach more than 90%. At this time, the grass should be uncovered and the soil should be loosened in time.
4. Seedbed management
The seedlings were transferred for the first time when the seedlings had 3-4 true leaves and the height of the plants was about 5cm. About a week before transplanting seedlings, the film should be opened in the evening and covered in the morning to make the seedlings adapt to the external environment and improve the survival rate. The seedlings can be transferred to the seedling tray for the first time, and the seedling tray should be placed under the sunshade net, centralized water and fertilizer management should be carried out to ensure that the chassis is moist, a small amount of fertilizer can be applied after 15 days, and attention should be paid to pest control and disease control during this period. If there is a moth, it can be sprayed with omethoate with 1000ml 1500 times liquid. After about two months, the second seedling transfer can be carried out, the field with better fertility should be selected in the seedling transfer bed, and the seedling should be controlled by water for about one week. After the third seedling transfer, when the plant height reaches 1.5m, part of the fibrous root can be cut off to promote the lateral root growth and further improve the survival rate.
