Eucalyptus urophylla, also known as Eucalyptus eucalyptus, is a kind of plant with high medicinal value and ornamental value. It likes temperature and is suitable for growing in places below 1900 meters above sea level. It is often used to decorate wedding ceremonies and various celebration sites. It has broad market prospects and high sales prices. With the acceleration of the process of returning farmland to forest, the planting area of Eucalyptus urophylla is gradually increasing. So where can I sell eucalyptus seeds? What are the methods of raising seedlings? Let's get to know it.

Where can I sell eucalyptus seeds?

Eucalyptus is widely distributed, with its main center in Oceania and a certain amount in Fujian, Guangxi, Guangdong, Yunnan and Sichuan in China. If there are local planting areas, then there is a greater chance of buying high-quality seeds. In addition to the production area to buy this channel, there are also many online platforms to sell seeds, but the quality is uneven, to learn to carefully identify.

What are the methods of raising seedlings?

1. Collect and sow seeds

The seeds were collected from November to December and sowed in spring the following year, or from July to August and sowed in the same year. 1.5 kg of seeds can be obtained per 100 kg of fruit, 2.8 g of 1000-grain weight of Eucalyptus globulus and 1.5 g of Eucalyptus grandis, and the seed germination rate is more than 90%.

2. Seedling raising method

The main results are as follows: (1) Mother bed seedling: choose the vegetable garden with fertile soil as the seedling bed, sow in the middle of March, fine soil preparation, soil moisture, width 1.2-1.6 meters. Soak the seeds for 48 hours, mix the seeds with fine sand and sow them on the seedling bed and cover them with fine dung soil 1-2 cm thick. Cover the film with enough water and unearth it 7-10 days after sowing.

(2) raising seedlings in nutrition bag: after the nutrient soil is bagged, soak the seeds in the bag (2-3 seeds in each bag), then cover a layer of fine dung, pour enough water and cover the film. Set the seedling during the seedling growth period, pull out the weak seedling, and leave 1 plant in each nutrition bag. The seedlings can be transplanted when they grow to a height of 10-20 cm.

3. Seedbed management

After the seedlings emerge, pull out all the weeds in the seedling bed. In addition, standing blight is easy to occur during the seedling period. At the initial stage of the disease, 500 times solution of 70% dimethazone per mu (100 kg per mu) was sprayed or sprinkled on the seedbed 2-3 times, with an interval of 10-15 days each time.

4. Transplanting management

Transplanting was carried out after the rainy season began in early June, with a pond depth of 40 cm and a diameter of 40 cm, with 300 plants per mu (1 × 2 m between rows). After planting, the fixed root water was poured enough to cultivate the soil above the surface to prevent stagnant water and soil consolidation, which was beneficial to the survival and growth of young trees.

5. Tending of young trees

After survival, the young forest should forbid grazing, shovel and hoe the weeds around the seedlings in time, loosen the soil conditionally and keep the soil loose. After the seedlings have grown for 2-3 years, pruning is carried out once a year to remove the thin and weak branches in the lower layer, which is beneficial to ventilation and light transmission and maintain the growth of the seedlings. The aromatic oil can be extracted from leaves after 4 years.

It is understood that Eucalyptus eucalyptus grows for 7-8 months, mainly harvesting branches, which can obtain higher economic benefits in a short time. The introduction of this industry can effectively promote the upgrading of the planting industry and provide good economic benefits for local growers.
