How does the lotus sprout?

First, skin grinding

This is done by widening the gap so that the seed has a greater contact with the water, so that the seed will swell. Its seed shell is very hard, especially aging seeds, so it's best to make a small gap before soaking. One end of the seed is sharp, on the contrary, the concave end can be worn out on a rough stone, or a little skin can be cut off with a sharp weapon, but do not hurt the seed meat inside, nor can you directly remove the whole shell.

Second, flooding

After skinning, put the seeds in 20 to 40 degrees water, the water is not too deep, you can flood the seeds. It is best to change the water two or three times a day. It only takes two days to sprout. Wait until five days later, the bud can grow 1 centimeter, wait another five days, it can grow very long.

Third, see the light

When the bud grows, you can let it bask in the sun, which is very helpful to its growth. About 3-5 days later, it can grow leaves. Its stem will grow all the way to the surface of the water, and then the leaves will float on the surface. This is called floating leaves. In this process, we should give it enough sunshine so that it can grow fast. To keep the water at 20 to 25 degrees, its growth rate has a lot to do with the temperature.

IV. Move the basin

When the first leaf floats, the second bud grows longer, and its root has two to four centimeters, it can be planted in a pot at this time. The soil should be prepared in advance, just use very ordinary soil, and then add a little cake fertilizer to it, which can be bought on the market. Then pour in the water that has been dried in advance. If the water is not clean, you should bask for one to three days first. Then stir the soil and water and remove the floating impurities. After a day or two, pour out the water on the surface, leaving only wet soil, and then add the drying water. Half a day later, plant the seeds that grow leaves and let the leaves float on them.

Note: it generally does not take two months, it can grow out, to put it in a place where you can receive light all the year round, it is best to use a shelter to block it in summer to avoid sunburn.
