Last Updated: 2024/11/10, This is a succulent plant, usually in the shape of a shrub. Usually, what we see most is red. In fact, its colors are very varied. For example, white, yellow, orange and so on, these colors are not very common, but very good-looking. And flower soil is an important aspect of cultivating it. So, what kind of soil suits it?

1. Requirements for flower soil

(1) the most basic thing is, of course, looseness, and many plants have this requirement for flower soil.

(2) the second requirement is that it contains more nutrition. Plants mainly absorb nutrients from flower soil, so this aspect must be considered. In addition, choosing more nutritious soil can also make the frequency of fertilization less, so that we can make it easier.

(3) the third requirement is drainage capacity. Although this plant likes dampness, it is also afraid of waterlogging and cannot accumulate water. Therefore, drainage is also very important.

(4) in addition, the air permeability must be good, which is beneficial for the plant to breathe.

(5) the last one is acidity and basicity. In view of the habits and characteristics of the plant, it is best to choose slightly acidic flower soil.

2. What kind of soil to choose

(1) Mud, vegetable garden soil and humus can be mixed according to the ratio of one to one. In addition, an appropriate amount of river sand can also be added. Also, you can mix in some fermented organic fertilizer or bone meal, which is used as base fertilizer. If you want to adjust the acid and alkali, then you can add some plant ash.

(2) if the above soil is not easy to mix, then you can use ordinary garden soil, or sandy soil, and add a small amount of base fertilizer.

(3) if you still don't have it, add some sand with some ordinary soil. However, this can not meet the later needs, we still have to artificially apply some fertilizer during maintenance.
