That centipede is good.

It is said that the centipede is poisonous, but the wine soaked with the centipede can cure many diseases, so it has a certain breeding prospect, but if you want to make money from the centipede, you need certain breeding skills and courage, because you will be bitten by the centipede if you are not careful. Is the centipede easy to raise? How to raise it to make money?

Centipede culture technology

1. Happy living in groups: centipedes have the habit of living together, and centipedes in the same group can live in harmony, rarely fighting and killing each other. If the habitat is too small and there are too many centipedes, the old centipede will automatically walk away and find another habitat.

2. If the centipede is timid and frightened, it will stop feeding, flee from the nest, or curl up, while the female centipede that is laying eggs will immediately stop laying eggs, while the centipede that hatches will eat the eggs unusually.

3. Like dark and damp. Most of the wild centipedes live on hillsides, fields, roadsides, places overgrown with weeds, or between woodpiles and shingles, and often in dark corners such as the corner of the kitchen wall. Centipede footprints are often seen under the bricks and tiles around pig sheds and chicken sheds.

4. Perch in the nest during the day and come out at night. The peak of centipede activity is from 8 to 12:00 in the evening, and generally return to the nest to have a rest before 4 o'clock in the morning, so it is difficult to see the centipede after dawn. During the day, the centipede has poor eyesight and can not see clearly from a distance, so it is difficult to find food and defend against enemies. It is only * a pair of slender antennae extending forward to explore the way, and at night * tentacles are used to hunt prey for food.

5. Have the habit of licking

The centipede often licks its antennae and feet with the dense villi on the distal and basal processes of the first mandible, the brush-like setae on the back of the second mandible, and the saliva from its mouth.

6. The temperature centipede is a temperature-changing animal, and all its activities are often related to temperature. The optimum temperature for the growth and development of centipede is 25 ℃ ~ 32 ℃. When the temperature is 11 ℃ ~ 15 ℃, the centipede forages less and stops mating and laying eggs. When the temperature drops below 10 ℃, the centipede stops all activities, gets into the loose soil (or nest soil), curls up and goes into hibernation, but when the temperature rises to 33 ℃ ~ 35 ℃, all its activities are suspended due to the loss of water in the body. If the temperature rises above 36 ℃, the body loses too much water, and the body dries up and dies.

7. Humidity; when the relative humidity of indoor air is 60%-70% and the humidity of nest soil is 10%-20%, all life activities of centipede are the most active, that is to say, this is the most suitable humidity for centipede growth and development.

Feeding and management of centipede

1. Keep a quiet environment: centipedes lay eggs and hatch in a quiet environment. If disturbed, eggs and larvae are often eaten. Generally speaking, the time of female spawning is different in the same feeding pond. Non-spawning females often interfere with the normal progress of spawning and hatching, and some even prey on eggs. Therefore, the female should be raised separately before spawning, or isolated with glass sheets, bottomless glasses or cans in a large feeding pool.

two。 Strengthen prenatal feeding: centipedes do not eat or drink water during incubation and maintain their activities by consuming their own nutrients. Before spawning, the female has the habit of eating and storing nutrients. At this time, the amount of food should be increased and the type of food should be adjusted to encourage the female to eat more and increase the nutrition before hatching.

3. Incubation period management: during the period of centipede holding eggs and raising young, centipedes have a certain response to disturbance, vibration, strong light, strong sound and so on. Therefore, the feeding room must choose a quiet, dark place. It is best to install red lights in the room and cover the windows with cloth or bamboo curtains to prevent strong light. The incubator in the room should be set up in advance and do not move easily once you lay eggs. Do not move the shielded glass sheet (pressing) casually, and do not shine it with a flashlight. If the humidity in the incubator is too low, it will affect the normal development of the embryo, so water should be added in the incubator at the right time. When adding water, it should be poured slowly along the cylinder wall to make the inner wall around the hatchery slightly moist. When the incubation is over, because the centipede fights for food and eats too much, the female should be removed in time or the larvae should be reared in separate nests.

4. Attention should be paid to the feeding density: the changes of body length and size of centipedes must be observed and reared in groups and ponds. At the same time, prevent the centipede from escaping. In addition, it is necessary to keep the feed clean and hygienic, especially the bait contaminated with pesticides must not be fed. Always observe and prevent the natural enemies of centipedes from entering the breeding pond and get rid of the diseased centipedes in time.

Production of raising soil

In artificial breeding, raising soil is indispensable to the life of centipedes, because raising soil can provide comfortable shelter for centipedes, keep warm in winter and avoid heat in summer. At the same time, centipedes can also absorb water and nutrients from the breeding soil. Centipede has strong adaptability to feeding soil, both sandy soil and loam soil, but raising  soil must be loose,  fertile and wet, so it is best to use vegetable garden soil as breeding soil, not clay as breeding soil, because clay is easy to solidify, centipede is difficult to enter, and before hardening, it will also stick to the centipede's feet and mouthparts, affecting centipede crawling and feeding activities. First dig the vegetable garden soil in a place where there is no pesticide or chemical fertilizer pollution, then mash it, remove impurities, stones, tiles, etc., and then put it in the sun for disinfection, killing ants, mites and other insects and eggs in the soil, as well as germs and molds, in order to reduce centipede diseases and insect pests.

1. Centipede culture pond

The centipede has strong climbing ability, but can not swim. According to this characteristic, we have developed a new technology of centipede culture and management, which can be designed as ring water centipede culture pond, glass inner eaves centipede culture pond and so on.

2. Eating habits and drinks

Centipedes are typical carnivores, like all kinds of live insects, such as crickets, locusts, yellow powder insects, dragonflies, cockroaches and flies, bees and the pupae and eggs of these insects. They also eat spiders, earthworms, snails and geckos, snakes, frogs, birds, mice, etc., and eat a small amount of plant leaves and buds when hungry.

3. Management

Centipedes caught from the wild can choose strong, injury-free ones. Free-range centipedes with too much density, too much disturbance, or insufficient feed and water can cause each other to kill each other. Stacked tiles and stone piles are stocked with 300 tiles per square meter according to the bottom surface area.

4. Isolate the pregnant female centipede

The centipede is hermaphroditic, the mother who is about to lay eggs is bloated, the abdomen is almost attached to the ground, and the movement is slow and easy to identify. Centipedes are best kept in isolation during spawning and hatching. The method is: put a small basin in the culture basin or raise it separately with a can bottle to avoid the interference of other centipedes, and it is also easy to manage.

5. Heating method of feeding room

The feeding room must be built and have the conditions for heating, temperature control and good thermal insulation. Generally, the size of such a feeding room depends on the number of centipedes overwintering, heating conditions and adequate heat supply. There are many ways to heat up. Can use coal furnace, wood chip furnace, rice husk furnace, electric heating pipe and so on.

6. Harvesting and processing of centipede products

It is generally caught between April and June. After catching, the bamboo slices sharpened at both ends are inserted into the head and tail, then they are exposed to the sun or scalded with boiling water until they are dried or dried. In some areas, chicken feathers and bones are buried in wet places in winter to induce centipedes to lay eggs and breed here and be captured by the Beginning of Spring.

Centipede density: centipedes like to live in groups, and the density of centipedes should be different according to solar terms, insect type, sand thickness and air temperature. When the temperature is low and the sandy soil is thicker, the feeding density can be higher. On the contrary, when the temperature is high and the sand is thin, the density is thinner. For young centipedes leaving the delivery room, it is appropriate to breed about 6500 centipedes per square meter, 3500 for 5 centimeters, 2000 for 7-10 centimeters, 1100 for 12 centimeters to 13 centimeters, and 1100 for more than 15 centimeters.

7. The requirement of centipede on pond soil

It is wet in summer and dry in spring, autumn and winter. the relative humidity around the feeding basin should be kept at about 70%. If the basin soil is too wet, you should consider changing it or sprinkling some dry soil in the basin to absorb moisture. Some people mistakenly add fertilizers such as cow dung and some chicken bones to the soil layer in the basin, using raw insects as centipede food, which hinders the environmental hygiene of the pond and is easy to cause pollution.

Construction of centipede culture pond

Artificial breeding centipedes can be raised in tanks or ponds. The use of cylinder maintenance, with dilapidated tile cylinder or ceramic cylinder, the narrowest diameter is more than 0.5m, the mouth is buried in the soil 20cm or so, the middle of the cylinder is built with dilapidated brick or adobe, which is about 10cm lower than the cylinder surface, and there is a certain gap between the billet and the cylinder wall. If you use an intact cylinder, don't knock out the bottom, just base the adobe in the cylinder. A jar of 80cm in diameter can hold about 200 adult centipedes.

When using pond culture, the culture pond should be built in the sunny ventilation, drainage conditions and relatively humid, secluded places, can be built indoors, can also be built outside. With bricks or stones and other masonry, cement plastering, ground height 80cm, the size of the pond area is random, generally in 5 ~ 10 years. The ground is covered with fine stones or broken tiles, and weeds and trees can also be planted in the pond to create a natural ecological environment suitable for centipedes. The inner wall of the pool is pasted with a smooth and lossless plastic film or is inlaid with a glass sheet around the pool mouth into an inner eave with a width of about 15cm and at right angles to the pool wall to prevent centipedes from escaping and harmful animals from falling into the pool. Generally, about 500 ~ 900 adult centipedes can be released in a culture pond per square meter.

The centipede is afraid of the sun and goes out at night. During the day, they generally live on hillsides, fields, roadsides or places overgrown with weeds, especially like to hide in abandoned trenches, barren graves, roadside cracks, stones and rubble. From Grain in Beard to the Summer Solstice, with the gradual rise of temperature, centipedes like to live in dark, humid, warm, sheltered and well-ventilated places. In the late autumn season, they often live under the slopes of pine trenches facing the wind or in tree holes. Stop eating when the temperature is below 10 ℃ and enter hibernation at minus 7 ℃. The hibernating centipede no longer moves or eats, the body is in the shape of "S", the antennae are curled from outside to inside, and the tail feet are together. The depth of overwintering latency is directly related to air temperature and soil temperature.

Centipedes need to molt several times from egg hatching, larval development to adult. Every time you shed your skin, you grow up obviously. Adult centipedes shed their skin once a year and others twice a year. Avoid alarm when molting, otherwise it will prolong the molting time (usually about 2 hours). At this time, it is also necessary to prevent swarms of ants from attacking, because the centipede in the molt has no ability to resist. The centipede grows slowly, from hatching eggs to larvae in the first year to growing to 3cm~4cm before hibernation in that year, to 3.5cm~6cm in the second year, and to more than 10cm in the third year. Therefore, it takes 3 to 4 years for the centipede to develop into an adult and then lay eggs.

Centipedes mate and lay eggs

The life span of centipedes is only 6 years. After sexual maturity, the centipedes usually mate in the early morning after rain and sunny days from March to May and July to August, and begin to lay eggs in 40 days. Before spawning, the centipede's belly is almost close to the ground, digging a hole. When spawning, the centipede's body is bent into an "S" shape, with the rear legs propped up, the tail feet warped and the antennae stretched forward, and then a string of eggs are excreted from the reproductive pore. The spawning process takes about 3 hours, with 80 ~ 150 eggs each time. There is mucus on the surface of the eggs, and the eggs stick together to form egg blocks. During the incubation period, the female centipede does not eat or drink until the young centipede hatches. After spawning, the centipede skillfully turns its body, gathers the eggs into a ball with steps, holds them in their arms and hatches for 43 to 50 days.

Centipede eggs are oval, of different sizes, beige and translucent. The egg mass hatched slowly, and there was no significant change in the first 5 days. After 10 days, the egg became long and flat; after half a month, the egg became kidney-shaped, and the middle line split; after 20 days, it became crescent-shaped; one month later, it first took the shape of larvae and wriggled in the arms of the mother. After 35-40 days, the centipede larvae crawled up and down; 43-45 days later, the larvae moved alone from the mother and looked for food on their own.

The secret recipe of centipede culture

Canned culture

Can be used as a breeding place for centipedes and breeding small centipedes and middle centipedes. Nest soil without bricks and dregs, weeds, grass leaves, melon shells, pericarp, grass roots and other sundries, its humidity should be pinched by hand to fall to the ground (water content 15%-17%), midsummer and early autumn can be slightly wet, raise young centipede and middle centipede can also be wet. The particles of the nest soil can not be too large, and each board can put 15 nest bottles, which can not only prevent natural enemies, but also stack the nest bottles layer by layer to make full use of the space. Wash the bottle with strong alkaline water, then rinse with clean water until it is transparent and odorless, dry and fill it with 2-3cm thick moist soil as nest soil. It is ideal to use cans to make centipede nests. Each nest bottle raises one centipede, or raises 20-80 centipedes, or 2 centipedes in the middle. This not only has a reasonable density, but also can solve the problem of killing each other.

Greenhouse culture

Build a layer of two walls 10 centimeters away from the wall around the feeding room, fill the gap with sawdust or dry fine soil, and the ceiling should be filled with interlayer to form an insulation layer. The door of the greenhouse should not be too big, as long as it is enough for one person to pass through. Flannelette should be pasted around the door and between the door frame, and the outer surface of the door should be nailed with sacks and cotton wool to facilitate heat preservation. Coal ball stove, electric stove, wood chip stove, firewood stove and so on can be used to heat up. The general space is 3 meters × 3 meters × 2.25 meters of the feeding room, you can put a briquettes furnace.

The factor of centipede activity: centipedes usually come out at night, and the peak of their activity is at 20: 23. It is characterized by more activity at night and less activity during the day; more activity at night when the temperature is higher than 25 ℃, less activity at 10-15 ℃; more activity at night after rain, less activity at night in rainy days; more activity at night without wind or breeze, less activity at night with strong wind (wind above force 6). Thus it can be seen that the frequency of centipede activity is closely related to meteorological factors such as air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, rainfall and light intensity.

Distinction between male and female of centipede

The back of the female head is flat, round and large, showing a cake shape; the posterior edge of the dorsal plate of section 21 is flat and round; the head is slightly raised in males with large, wide and thick abdomen. The posterior edge of the 21st dorsal plate is also slightly raised, pointed, smaller, narrow, and the abdomen is thinner and male can make a sound, and the abdomen is thicker. Under the microscope, the large armor is the male and the small is the female, which is easy to distinguish between male and female. The web of the male anterior reproductive segment is large, has a penis, and remains a pair of reproductive limbs.

Centipede feed source

We should do a good job in aquaculture. The first thing to solve is the problem of feed. The centipede is mainly fed with meat. Require freshness and cleanliness. With pig lungs. Pig heart. Chicken intestines. Little fish. Frog. Snake. Earthworms, all kinds of insects. Any meat is fine. Everyone, according to the local situation. Reasonable arrangement. Which is cheaper? It's easier to get. Relatively stable supply is easily selected as a staple food. Other foods with slightly higher relative costs are used as supplementary foods. As a result, the cost is low. And the effect of rich feed nutrition.

Be bitten by a centipede

After ordinary people are bitten by centipedes. There will be swelling. It hurts. Red, itchy phenomenon. The pain is paroxysmal. Tingling pain several times a second. It's more intense. But it's also within tolerable limits. When you are bitten, you squeeze out the poisonous blood immediately. Rinse with lye. The pain can disappear completely after six to eight hours without treatment. In the meantime, you can rub some toilet water. Wind oil essence to relieve symptoms. If you find the pain unbearable. You can go to the hospital for local anesthesia and analgesic injections. There is another point to point out in particular. The toxicity of centipede is the same as that of honeybee. Friends who have a history of allergy to bee venom, please do not breed centipedes. Although it is only 1/10000 of the proportion. But the bite of a centipede with allergies is a terrible thing. Centipedes are very poisonous. The equivalent of N bees biting at the same time. If you show up after being bitten. Dizziness, fainting. A rash all over the body. I have a chill. Wait for symptoms. Go to the hospital in time for desensitization treatment.

Recently, some friends have been consulting me to raise the red dragon centipede. What are the benefits of various foreign centipedes. Here, I would like to provide you with the information on the cultivation of centipedes. At present, medicinal centipedes are all medicinal centipedes with few spines. There are two kinds. One is red head and red feet. One is red head and yellow feet. These two kinds of centipedes are genuine medicinal centipedes. Also known as the golden centipede. Red-headed centipede. Tianlong. Wait, now all the farmed medicinal centipedes are the above two kinds. Friends can take a closer look at the picture. Corresponding to the current market dragon and snake mixed centipede nickname. You can know what you have in mind. Now the output of red head and yellow feet is more. For the mainstream products of the market. Other varieties. None of them are medicinal centipedes. And no dealers will buy it. It is not suitable for large-scale breeding. That's for sure. Playing as a pet is also a good choice.
