At present, there are three forms of meat duck breeding in China, large-scale intensive meat duck farming enterprises, large-scale meat duck farms and scattered rural farmers, among which large-scale meat duck farms are the future development direction, which reduces the capital investment of farmers and greatly reduces the risk of breeding. Under normal circumstances, the feeding period of meat ducks is 40 days, with a total feed consumption of 5kg per duck, with a feed-to-meat ratio of 1.95glue. the average body weight is 2.5kg, the daily gain is about 62.5g, and the labor force is set to 5000 per person.

Summer is the prime time for raising meat ducks, but the high temperature and humidity environment is easy to cause feces to rot and ferment, breed pathogenic microorganisms and induce diseases, which is disadvantageous to the growth of ducks. In order to improve the survival rate of meat ducks in summer, we must pay attention to the following eight points:

1. Reduce sunlight to build a tall and spacious duck cottage. Water can be drenched or sprayed on the roof during high temperatures, or white ash can be painted on the roof.

2. the supply of fresh feed will ferment and deteriorate if it is placed in the environment of high temperature and humidity for too long, or stagnates in the lees for too long, so the supply of fresh feed for ducks should be guaranteed.

3. To keep the environment quiet and hot, it is necessary to avoid sudden shock and noise to disturb the ducks, so as to minimize the activity of ducks.

4. Do a good job in disinfection and epidemic prevention, prevent the breeding of flies and mosquitoes, and protect ducks from insect pests.

5. Reduce the feeding density to prevent the duck flock from crowding, stacking and accumulation of temperature, and add water basins and food troughs.

6. the feed formula of ducks at different growth stages is different by adjusting the feed formula. the feed formula in summer should keep the protein level as low as possible on the premise of meeting all essential amino acids so as to reduce the digestion and heat dissipation of feed.

7. Net breeding should be adopted to change the feeding mode, reduce the contact between ducks and feces, reduce the chance of epidemic disease transmission, reduce the incidence, and reduce the nutritional consumption and heat production of ducks.

8. Change the feeding time and try to feed when the weather is cool at 8: 10 in the morning and at night.
