Duckling tendinosis, also known as manganese deficiency, flexor tendon disease, short bone disease, slippery tendon disease, knee joint disease, leg deformity and weakness and so on, is a deformed and weak leg disease of young ducklings. Heavy breeds are more likely to occur than light breeds. The disease is often cloudy with rickets, but the bone calcification is normal, the bone is hard, and the bone calcification is incomplete and the bone becomes soft with rickets.

Delineation of tendon in ducklings is a disease easy to occur during the rearing period, which is mainly caused by poor feed nutrition or improper feeding and management methods, as well as low temperature and high humidity in the house. Ducklings over 10 days old are easy to get sick.

At the initial stage of the onset of symptoms, ducklings will have walking difficulties, based on trembling, hock joint bending inward, sometimes crawling and other posture, but the appetite is still good. With the aggravation of the disease, the sick duck can not stand at all. When it moves, it touches the ground with its hocks, and even supports the ground with both wings, resulting in limb abrasion and inflammation, joint swelling and deformation, showing the shape of "O" or "X". It is difficult for sick ducks to eat, gradually lose weight and even die. by the age of 21, the incidence rate rises to 50%, and the mortality rate can be more than 10%.

Prevention and treatment of a reasonable mix of feed to ensure nutritional needs: the supply of nutrients for ducklings is an important part of the prevention and treatment of the disease. During the breeding period, the energy per kilogram of feed should reach 2900 kcal, the content of crude protein is 22.00%, the content of crude fiber is 3.5%, and contains 1.28% calcium, 0.71% phosphorus, 1.05% lysine, 0.73% methionine plus cystine, 0.2g multivitamins per kilogram of feed, and an appropriate amount of manganese and zinc. Control the temperature and humidity and reduce the feeding density: the temperature in the duck house is kept at about 25 ℃, the humidity is kept at 65%-70%, and there are 7 ducklings per square meter. Isolation treatment and feeding, supplement feed nutrition: once the ducklings get sick, they should be treated in groups and raised in small circles at the same time, so that each sick duck can drink and eat. At the same time, minerals, vitamins and trace elements should be supplemented according to the lack of nutrients in diseased ducks. When the ducklings got sick, 50 mg of manganese was added to each kilogram of feed, and each duck was fed with 5 mg of vitamin D, vitamin and vitamin B2, which was reduced after 7 days. In addition, green feed and fish product feed should be properly supplemented in their feed.
