With the gradual development of aquaculture, the cultivation of Monopterus Albus has become one of the most popular breeding projects nowadays. It is expected that the demand for Monopterus Albus will gradually increase in a few years, so how to raise Monopterus Albus in rice fields can achieve high yield?

When rice eel is cultured in rice field, rice field eel can feed on aquatic insects and larvae, which is beneficial to the growth of rice. Rice itself also creates conditions for rice eel habitat and benefits each other. It not only increases rice yield, but also harvests a certain number of rice field eel. The comprehensive benefit is significant, which is another way to increase agricultural income and farmers to get rich.

Selection of raising Monopterus Albus in Rice Field

The water quality is fresh and pollution-free, the water quantity is abundant, the drainage and irrigation is convenient, and the ridge of the field is solid and does not leak, so it is better to maintain a certain water level in the low-lying paddy field.

Construction of field engineering and escape prevention facilities

Heighten and widen the field ridge, the ridge height 70cm, the bottom width 60cm, the top width 45cm, on the ridge of the field with plastic film or screen as anti-escape facilities, the film or net higher than the surface 20cm, buried in the underground 10cm.

Ricefield eel stocking

The eel species with neat specifications, disease-free and injury-free were selected for stocking, and the body color was yellow and mixed with large spots as the breeding variety, the growth was faster, and the stocking specification was 5~20cm. Before being put into the pond, the returned eel seedlings can not only effectively prevent water mildew, but also eliminate parasites on the body surface of eel seedlings.

Feeding and management

Water quality management

Keep the water quality fresh in the field and add fresh water at the right time, generally changing water once in 7 days in spring and autumn and once in 3 days in summer. Ensure that the water quality is "fat but not rotten, living but not sparse, young but not old, cool but not scarce".

Bait management

The eel species were not fed within 3 days after stocking, so that all the food in the eel species was digested into an empty stomach, making it hungry, and then fed to the rice field eel favorite earthworms and chopped small miscellaneous fish or animal offal at night, the feeding amount was 1% / 2% of the body weight. After eating normally, human silkworm pupae, fly maggots, fish meal, rice bran and melon peel can be mixed into the feed, and the feeding amount can be gradually increased to 3%-4% of body weight according to the eating condition. When the water temperature is 26-28 ℃, the feeding amount can be increased to 6%-7% of body weight.

Disease management

Disease prevention and control plays a very important role in aquaculture. Not only the seedlings should be disinfected before stocking, but the breeding ditch should be disinfected with quicklime 0.3kg per square meter 7-10 days before the eel seedlings are put into use, and the quicklime solution of 15mg/L should be used for disinfection every half a month to do a good job of prevention. Eel species should avoid abrasions as far as possible in the process of fishing, transportation and stocking, so as to prevent bacteria from invading and causing red skin disease. the symptoms are bleeding and inflammation on the body surface, especially in the abdomen and both sides, which should be treated with the combination of internal and external disinfection. Preventive measures: strictly disinfect eel species during stocking, constantly inspect the fields, check whether the facilities are damaged, especially in rainy days, strictly check the entry, drainage holes and dikes to prevent the eel from escaping.
