Pig farm disinfection is a very important part of pig work, so how to disinfect pig farms, there are three common disinfection methods, namely physical disinfection, chemical disinfection and biological disinfection.

I. Chemical disinfection

Disinfection with chemicals such as acids, alkalis and formalin is called chemical disinfection. Lime milk is the most economical and easily available common disinfectant. In order to enhance the disinfection effect, the disinfection object should be washed and cleaned before the above disinfection is carried out, and the number of infection sources of the disinfection object after cleaning should be reduced, so that the disinfectant can play a better role.

Using chemical drugs (disinfectants) to kill pathogens is one of the most commonly used methods in disinfection. the ideal disinfectant must have the characteristics of wide antibacterial spectrum, strong killing power to pathogens, stable property, long disinfection effect, low toxicity to human and animals, light damage to disinfection objects, cheap and easy to be obtained, convenient transportation, preservation and use, and little pollution to the environment. When using chemical disinfectants, we should consider the resistance of pathogens to different disinfectants, germicidal spectrum of disinfectants, effective concentration, action time, requirements for disinfection objects and environmental temperature, etc.

2. Biological disinfection

For a large number of feces, fecal sewage, garbage and weeds produced in production, fermentation is widely used to kill pathogens by using the heat produced in the fermentation process. Stacking fermentation, sedimentation tank fermentation and biogas digester fermentation can be used. Solid-liquid separation technology can also be used when the conditions are ripe, and the separated solids can be made into high-efficiency organic fertilizer, and the liquid can be used in fishery culture after fermentation. In addition, while doing a good job in environmental hygiene and disinfection inside and outside the pig house, we should appropriately plant flowers and trees in the field to beautify the environment.

These three disinfection methods are relatively common and the effect is also relatively good, pig farmers can choose methods for daily disinfection of pig farms according to their own actual situation.

III. Physical disinfection

The environment of pig farm is clean, ventilated, exposed to sunlight and dry. Articles and utensils are called physical disinfection after burning, baking, boiling and fumigation. Physical disinfection methods include sunlight disinfection, dry disinfection and high temperature disinfection.

A, daylight disinfection

Under the action of direct sunlight, bacteria die out quickly, for example, Mycobacterium tuberculosis is 3 / 5 hours, classical swine fever virus is 5 / 9 hours, therefore, sunlight is a good disinfectant, all mobile breeding utensils can be disinfected by this method.

B, dry disinfection

This method has a lethal effect on many pathogens because they need water to survive, and disinfection is better if it is dry, ventilated, and exposed to sunlight.
