Mutton is warm and most suitable for consumption in winter, so it is called winter tonic and is very popular. Now it is autumn, it is the time for the mutton market to "open", so what are the sheep fattening techniques? This problem should be one of the most concerned issues for the majority of sheep farmers. Only with proper management in autumn can sheep be fattened and fattened and sold at a good price after listing. This is of great significance to professional sheep farmers and bulk sheep farmers.

So what are the skills of fattening sheep? Let's take a look at how Chen Yulin, a professor at the School of Animal Science and Technology, Northwest University of Agriculture and Forestry, "pastes autumn fat" to sheep!

First of all, the professor reminded the majority of sheep farmers that they must do a good job in autumn feeding management, scientific feeding, the establishment of epidemic prevention files, regular deworming, in order to make mutton sheep fattening quickly. The specific methods are as follows:

First, make preparations before fattening

The main results are as follows: 1. the market demand for mutton is the greatest in winter and spring, and it is more suitable for commercial sheep to be fattened in winter, so the fattening of mutton sheep is the best in autumn. At this time, the temperature is suitable, and the forage grass and crop straw are rich, which is conducive to the rapid growth and sale of mutton sheep.

2. Preparation of forage and fodder during the whole fattening period, each sheep should prepare 2 kg ~ 2.5 kg of hay, or 3 kg ~ 5 kg of silage, or 3 kg ~ 5 kg of ammoniated feed, etc., and concentrate should be prepared according to 0.3 kg ~ 0.4 kg per sheep per day.

3. The choice of fattening sheep for fattening sheep should choose lambs and young sheep of the current year, followed by elimination of sheep and old sheep. After fattening sheep are selected, sheep need to be dewormed and castrated.

4. the feeding density of the sheep house is 0.4 square meters ~ 0.5 square meters per sheep, in order to restrict the movement of sheep and increase the fattening effect. The sheep house should be built in a place that is convenient for ventilation, drainage, daylighting, shelter from the wind and sun, and close to the pasture and feed warehouse.

Second, fine management and reasonable grouping

The main results are as follows: 1. Mastering the appropriate proportion of concentrate and roughage can not only provide energy, but also meet the protein needs of fattening sheep, but also maintain the normal activity of sheep stomach and ensure the health status of sheep. When concentrate is matched with green hay, it is best to add silage to supplement vitamins, and multivitamins and trace elements can also be added appropriately. The proportion of protein in sheep diet should be about 8%.

2. Raising adult sheep in groups requires the separation of male and female, and feeding should be provided according to nutritional needs to ensure the lambing needs of ewes. Adult sheep in the fattening period should be placed in the fattening flock in order to gain weight quickly.

3. Preparation before entering the circle. The fattening sheep were injected with enterotoxemia triple vaccine and dewormed. At the same time, enough water tanks and material troughs were set up in the circle, and the environment (sheep house and sports ground) was cleaned and disinfected.

In addition, there are some feed formulations for "pasting autumn fat" to sheep in autumn, which can be used as a reference for the majority of farmers. Of course, the specific implementation, but also need to be based on their own herd characteristics!

Formula one: 0.5 kg of Gramineae hay, 4.0 kg of silage corn and 0.5 kg of broken grain. This formula diet contains 40.60% dry matter, 4.12% crude protein, 0.24% calcium, 0.11% phosphorus, and 17.974 megajoules of metabolic energy.

Formula 2: 1.0 kg of Gramineae hay, 0.5 g of silage corn and 0.7 kg of broken grain. This formula diet contains 84.55% dry matter, 7.59% crude protein, 0.60% calcium, 0.26% phosphorus, and 14.379 megajoules of metabolic energy.

Formula 3: silage corn 4.0 kg, broken grain 0.5 kg, urea 10 g, straw 0.5 kg. This formula diet contains 40.72% dry matter, 3.49% crude protein, 0.19% calcium, 0.09% phosphorus, and 17.263 megajoules of metabolic energy.

Formula 4: 0.5 kg of Gramineae hay, 3.0 kg of silage corn, 0.4 kg of broken grain and 0.8 kg of succulent feed. This formula diet contains 40.64% dry matter, 3.83% crude protein, 0.22% calcium, 0.10% phosphorus, and 15.884 megajoules of metabolic energy.

Then there is the pellet feed type. The modified ingredient method is more suitable for areas with feed processing conditions and raising meat adult sheep or Capricorn sheep. In pellet feed, straw and hay powder can account for 55%-60%, concentrate 35%-40%. There are two main feed formulations for fattening:

Formula 1: grass powder 35.0%, straw 44.5%, concentrate 20.0%, calcium hydrogen phosphate 0.5%. This formula contains 86% dry matter, 7.2% crude protein, 0.48% calcium, 0.24% phosphorus and 6.897 megajoules of metabolic energy per kilogram of feed.

Formula 2: Gramineae powder 30.0%, straw 44.5%, concentrate 25.0%, calcium hydrogen phosphate 0.5%. This formula contains 86% dry matter, 7.4% crude protein, 0.49% calcium, 0.25% phosphorus and 7.106 megajoules of metabolic energy per kilogram of feed.

After reading these, do you know something about autumn sheep "sticking autumn fat"? the vast number of sheep farmers should seize the good season of fattening and strive to occupy high ground in the mutton market and make a lot of money.
