How to identify duck plague?

The main results are as follows: 1. There is a sudden and persistent high mortality rate in ducks, with lethargy, loss of appetite, elevated body temperature to 42 ℃, drooping wings, and swollen head and neck; blue beak, feet and mucous membrane.

2. Diarrhea, discharge of green or gray thin feces, cloacal mucosa congestion, bleeding, edema or valgus, and covered with green pseudomembrane, leaving an ulcer surface after peeling.

3. There are blood spots on the skin, mucous membrane, serosa and internal organs of the duck; edema of subcutaneous tissue; swelling of part of the head and neck of the duck

4. The oral mucosa is covered with yellow necrotic pseudomembrane. Scraping off the pseudomembrane with a knife can show that the mucosal bleeding is shallow, and the ulcerated esophageal mucosa is covered with yellow or straw pseudomembrane, showing small patches or strips.

5. The cloaca is seriously congested and the mucosal surface is covered with brown or green-brown necrotic crusts, which is not easy to peel off.

How to prevent the attack of duck plague?

1. Strengthen the sanitary control of duck house environment and pay attention to regular disinfection.

2. Vaccination should be carried out in accordance with the immunization process, and it is forbidden to purchase ducklings or breeder ducks from non-immune areas. If sick ducks are found, the whole flock should be isolated immediately, and the attenuated vaccine against duck plague should be urgently vaccinated. One dose of duck plague vaccine can produce immunity after 1 day.

3. For early treatment, 200 grams of ampicillin sodium, 100 grams of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, 100 grams of Astragalus polysaccharides and 100 grams of Astragalus polysaccharides can be used for early treatment.

4. Each sick duckling is urgently injected with duck serum-duck virus. Ducklings (10 days old or less than 150g) are injected subcutaneously with 0.8ml of 1 ml in chest, and adult ducklings (over 10 days of age or 150g of body weight) are injected with 1ml / 1.5ml for 2 days. Antiviral drugs can also be injected into feed or drinking water, 50ml of drinking water for each 800 adult birds and 1000 birds for chicks. Generally drinking water once, serious illness drinking water for 2 days, once a day, the effect is significant. The cure rate of this method for duck plague prevention and control of diseased ducks is 90%-96.1%. In order to prevent bacterial infection, each duckling can be intramuscularly injected with 1000 × 2000 units of gentamicin once in the morning and evening for 2 to 3 days to help strengthen the physique and restore physical fitness.
