Growing flowers seems like a simple job, but there is a lot of knowledge in it. For example, what to water the flower pot, when to water, whether to need long sunshine, whether to pick the heart, and so on. Take fertilization as an example, it is not simply to dig up the basin soil and fill it in. If you are not careful, the fertilizer will burn the roots. Let's learn more about it: if the fertilizer is applied well, the potted plant will be full year after year.

It is best to use organic fertilizers in potted plants, and the most commonly used fertilizers are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

The first kind: nitrogen fertilizer

Function: nitrogen fertilizer is a growth fertilizer, the main function is to promote the growth of branches and leaves, so that plants more luxuriant.

Production materials: cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and other animal feces (including human feces, urine), fish intestines, peanuts, sesame, beans and other related materials, these all contain nitrogen, can be used as nitrogen fertilizer raw materials.

Production method: using the method of ripening fermentation, the material containing nitrogen is put into a sealed container and soaked in water for fermentation, with a high temperature of about 20 days in summer and a low temperature of 2 to 3 months in winter. the successful performance of fermentation: open and release the accumulated gas, and then stir several times as long as it does not emit the original smell.

Note: excessive use of nitrogen fertilizer will cause branches and leaves to grow too long, become delicate and thin, and vulnerable to the threat of diseases.

The second kind: phosphate fertilizer

Function: promote the formation of flower buds and fruits, enhance tree growth, enhance root growth, and enhance plant resistance.

Production materials: poultry feces eggshells, fish scale bones, animal bones, rice bran panning water and so on all contain phosphorus, which is a good material for making phosphate fertilizer.

Production method: the same as nitrogen fertilizer, the waste containing phosphorus is sealed with water and used after decay and fermentation. note that if you use a bone eggshell, please smash it, so that the effect is better and the fermentation time is shorter, and the fermented water that ferments into black is successful.

Note: phosphate fertilizer is easy to be fixed and has a strong slow stamina. It can be layered or dug ditches to enhance the effect of fertilization.

The third kind: potash fertilizer

Function: enhance plants, improve resistance to diseases and insect pests, low temperature, drought, strengthen root system, enhance color.

Production materials: plant ash, the mineral elements contained in plants are included in plant ash.

Production method: after the plant ash is filtered, add water and stir into porridge, mixed with water, it can also be used as base fertilizer or sprinkled directly.

Note: plant ash can prevent diseases and insect pests and prevent rotting roots from withering. Plant ash is alkaline and should not be mixed with other fertilizers. Just store it in a plastic bag.

Summary: when to apply fertilizer, what fertilizer may be used, the type of potted plants, local climate and other reasons, fertilization time and standards are different, but it remains the same, mainly the use of these three kinds of fertilizers, just adjust according to the situation.

Reminder:

1: pay more attention to your own fermented fertilizer, the smell may affect the neighbors.

2: the gas produced by fermentation is in danger of explosion in a closed environment, so it should be released regularly before completion.

3: self-made fertilizer is generally used after five to ten times dilution of water, and light fertilization is required for many times.

4: it is best not to mix and store different fertilizers to avoid fertilizer conflicts.
