People are most afraid of getting sick, and what also worries farmers is the illness of livestock and poultry, which will bring huge losses. what the editor wants to introduce to you today is how domestic pigs suddenly bloated and died strangely. How to treat it? Sick pigs often have no signs of disease, rapid expansion of abdominal circumference, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lying on the ground, accompanied by symptoms of elevated body temperature. Some pigs eat normal food at night when they get sick, and die in the morning with stiff body, bulging abdomen and foaming from their mouth and nose.

This is the most common form of porcine clostridium welchii in aquaculture. There are many nicknames for the disease, such as porcine clostridium enteritis, porcine infectious necrotizing enteritis, piglet enterotoxemia, commonly known as piglet red dysentery. The disease is an infectious disease caused by Clostridium perfringens, which can occur in pigs of all ages regardless of sex. The morbidity is not high, but the mortality rate is extremely high, which is an important disease that seriously harms the pig industry.

The sudden death syndrome of many healthy pigs is related to this bacteria, which has the advantages of acute onset, short course of disease and sudden death without any early symptoms. Pathological examination showed obvious abdominal distension, ear tips, hooves, nose and lips cyanosis, postmortem pig skin pale.

If the pig's food trough and sink are of the same origin, if the pig has leftovers, it is easy to rancidity, mildew and Bacillus perfringens, and a large number of harmful gases produced by pigs after feeding cannot be discharged in time in the intestines, resulting in flatulence of the stomach and intestines, compression of internal organs and disturbance of blood circulation. resulting in insufficient blood supply to the brain and asphyxiation due to hypoxia. Some feed too much, resulting in the weakening of digestive function, so that a large number of gas can not be discharged will also cause flatulence.

Differential diagnosis

In the modern production of constipation, sows are often placed in the positioning column. Due to the lack of exercise in sows, there is less green feed, which is easy to cause constipation. This leads to flatulence and eventually death. This should be distinguished from this disease.

The symptoms of colibacillosis are similar to those of yellow and white dysentery in piglets. However, Clostridium welchii showed obvious intestinal bleeding, obvious jejunal dyspnea, air bubbles in serous layer, bleeding from lymph nodes, sharp hemorrhage of renal needle and serious meningeal hemorrhage.

The clinical similarities between Clostridium botulinum poisoning and Clostridium botulinum poisoning are sudden onset and acute death. However, abdominal distension is obvious in Clostridium welchii. Clostridium botulinum poisoning is mainly caused by eating rotten feed. The more delicious the fat, the fuller the pig is poisoned.

Popular characteristics

Rabbits of all ages and breeds can be infected, especially in young rabbits of 1-3 months old, and purebred hairy rabbits and Rex rabbits are more likely to be infected. There is no season for the onset of the disease. The digestive tract is the main route of transmission.

Symptom

The special symptom of this disease is acute diarrhea. The initial feces of the diseased rabbits deformed and softened, and soon turned into bloody jelly-like, black or brown thin feces, with a fishy smell, and the surrounding anus, hind limbs and tail were contaminated by thin feces; the coat was rough, listless, refused to eat, dehydrated, and no change in body temperature. and finally emaciated to death.

Pathological changes

Autopsy showed that the gastric fundus mucosa was exfoliated and there were ulcers of different sizes. The intestinal mucosa is diffuse bleeding, the small intestine is filled with gas, and the intestinal wall is thin and transparent. The cecum and colon are filled with gas and dark green thin content, with a rotten stench. The liver becomes brittle and the spleen is dark brown. The blood vessels on the surface of the heart are in the shape of branches.

The body was dehydrated and emaciated, with a fishy smell in the abdominal cavity, food and gas in the stomach, exfoliated mucous membrane at the bottom of the stomach, bleeding and black ulcers of different sizes. The intestinal wall is diffuse congestion or bleeding, the small intestine is filled with gas and thin contents, and the intestinal wall is thin and transparent. Mesenteric lymph node congestion, edema, cecal serosa obvious bleeding, cecum and colon filled with gas and dark green watery feces, fishy smell. The epicardial vessels dilated angrily and showed a dendritic shape. Liver and kidney blood stasis, degeneration, brittleness. There is much brown urine in the bladder.

Laboratory diagnosis

The contents of jejunum, ileum, cecum, intestinal mucosa and diseased tissues of heart blood and liver of dead rabbits were smeared for Gram staining and microscopic examination. When the intestinal contents were inoculated in blood Agar medium and cultured in 37 ℃ for 24 hours, a round colony with double hemolytic rings, 1.5-3mm in diameter, was light gray. The cultured strain was used for biochemical reaction, which decomposed glucose, lactose, maltose, sucrose and fructose, produced acid and gas, and did not ferment mannitol. Eight healthy adult rabbits were divided into 4 groups. The 24-hour broth culture containing 550 million bacteria per milliliter was inoculated intraperitoneally with three different doses of 0.3ml, 0.6ml and 1ml. The control group was intraperitoneally injected with 1ml saline. After the pure culture was inoculated into the rabbits, all the experimental groups showed loss of appetite, depression, thin feces and severe drainage. All the rabbits in the experimental group died within 16 hours after challenge, while the control group was normal. The main clinical symptoms after inoculation were dysentery, which was the same as that of naturally diseased rabbits, and the pathological changes of dead rabbits after inoculation were the same as those of natural cases. Pathological material smear, gram-positive bacteria end obtusely round large bacilli were detected by Gram staining microscope.

Prevention and cure

Correct feeding can reduce the incidence of the disease, and the use of lower energy, higher fiber diet can significantly reduce the mortality of diarrhea. Once diseased rabbits or suspected diseased rabbits are found, they should be isolated or eliminated immediately. The inactivated aluminum hydroxide vaccine of Clostridium welchii could be used for prevention. Each rabbit was subcutaneously injected with 2 ml. The immunity began to develop after 7 days, and the immune period was 4-6 months.

The treatment of this disease, can take oxytetracycline, tetracycline, have a certain effect. In addition, high immune serum is also effective in the treatment of this disease. The method is that after diseased rabbit diarrhea is found, depending on the size of the diseased rabbit, each rabbit is subcutaneously injected with high immune serum 5ml, once a day, for 2 to 3 days to recover.
