From November 8 to 9, the Ministry of Agriculture held a national on-site exchange meeting on ecological circular agriculture in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, to exchange practices and experiences in developing ecological circular agriculture, and to study and deploy key tasks for a period in the future. Minister of Agriculture Han Changfu pointed out at the meeting that speeding up the construction of ecological circular agriculture is a strategic choice for the development of modern agriculture in the new era, and agricultural departments at all levels should actively adapt to the new situation and new requirements. The institutional framework for the development of ecological circular agriculture has been initially established, the planning and guidance for the development of ecological circular agriculture has been further strengthened, a number of key projects of ecological circular agriculture have been implemented, and the demonstration and driving system of ecological circular agriculture has been preliminarily constructed. a number of technical models for promoting ecological circular agriculture have been explored and popularized.

Han Changfu stressed that the general requirement for the development of ecological circular agriculture in the new period is to conscientiously implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and the central requirements for the construction of ecological civilization, firmly establish the concept of innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development, and take accelerating agricultural modernization as the central goal and accelerating the transformation of agricultural development mode as the main line. To ensure national food security and promote the rapid increase of farmers' income as the primary task, efforts should be made to promote the conservation of agricultural resources, the cleanliness of production processes, the ecology of industrial chains, and the utilization of waste resources. take the agricultural modernization road of high output efficiency, product safety, resource saving and environment-friendly. At present and for a period of time in the future, in order to develop ecological circular agriculture, we should focus on the following tasks: adhere to overall planning and optimize the industrial structure; give priority to reduction and promote agricultural clean production; adhere to recycling and utilization, promote the utilization of agricultural wastes; adhere to the combination of land use and land use, promote the protection and improvement of the quality of cultivated land; and attach equal importance to development and protection, and promote the conservation of agricultural resources.

Han Changfu pointed out that the construction of ecological circular agriculture is a long-term task and systematic project. Agricultural departments at all levels should enhance their awareness of the main body, strengthen organizational leadership, policy creation, pilot demonstration, scientific and technological support, publicity and training, cultivate new main bodies, and grasp the work of ecological circular agriculture with a highly responsible attitude and achieve results.
