Does the mule divide the male from the female?

Mules are divided into male and female. Mules can be divided into male and female, but male mules and most female mules are sterile because chromosomes are not paired (63), germ cells cannot divide normally (meiosis), female mules have sexual function, and the uterus can conceive embryos, but the most difficult thing is to get female mules pregnant. Strictly speaking, the offspring of male donkeys and mares are called horse mules, and the offspring of male and female donkeys are called donkey mules.

What's the difference between it and a horse?

1. Ma Sheng's horse mule is bigger than donkey mule, but both horse mule and donkey mule are smaller than horse and bigger than donkey.

2. Horse mules and donkey mules have a short length of hair at the base of their tails, while the horse roots all have very long hair.

Mules have longer and wider ears than horses.

4. There are 32 pairs of chromosomes in horses, 31 pairs of donkeys and 31.5 pairs of mules, one of which is not paired, so they are generally infertile.

4. How to raise it artificially?

Donkeys and mules often use small female donkeys, so they have a smaller physique. But large female donkeys such as Guanzhong donkey or Texas donkey can produce large mules. The conception rate of breeding horses and mules is 70-80%, while that of breeding donkeys and mules is only about 30%. Although the male mule and the male donkey mule can see normal testicles in appearance, they have no fecundity because the sperm cells cannot form fertilised sperm; however, the gonads are more developed and can also show exuberant sexual desire, so they are generally castrated for the convenience of management and service. It is also very difficult for a female mule to conceive. There are a few reports in the world that female mules mate with male horses or donkeys to give birth. There are also a few examples in China. Mules and donkeys have roughly the same feeding and management as donkeys. During heavy service, large mules need concentrate 2.0 to 2.5 kg per day, and feed (dry) grass about 6.0 kg per day, and can be appropriately reduced in light service. Mules and donkeys can generally be used for light service from the age of two. Ordinary mules can carry 75 kilograms or 100 kilograms for continuous service for more than 5 days; for a short time, they can carry 100 kilograms and 125 kilograms and travel about 35 kilometers a day. It is mainly used for piggyback transportation in the mountainous areas of southwest China, while it is mainly used for hauling in the northwest, North China and Northeast China. The method and amount of work are basically the same as those of horses.
