There are no hard spines, all of them have small fins; the dorsal fin has 10-12 soft strips and 6-7 fins, and the anal fin has 12-15 soft strips and 7 fins; the ventral fin is located below the center between the posterior edge of the operculum and the starting point of the anal fin; the caudal fin is deeply forked and the inferior fork is slightly longer; the vertebrae are 62-69; the body is covered with small round scales, easy to fall off; the lateral line is inferior, near the ventral margin. The back and upper part of the body are dark grayish blue, the ventral side is silver-white, and there is a silver-blue longitudinal band in the center of the body. The body length can be up to 35 cm.

Third, the distribution is different

Green fish are distributed in the western North Pacific Ocean, China, Korea, Japan and the Russian far East, as far north as the Okhotsk Sea. It can be divided into two local populations: one in the Sea of Japan, the other in the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, and is one of the main economic fish in the western North Pacific Ocean.

Saury is distributed in the North Pacific region, including the Sea of Japan, Alaska, the Bering Sea, California, Mexico and other waters. Latitude 67-18 degrees north, longitude 137 degrees east-longitude 108 degrees west. The preferred water temperature is 15-18 degrees Celsius. China is mainly distributed in the Yellow Sea and the east coast of Shandong.

They are both very cheap, seven or eight yuan per jin. However, saury market is relatively rare, generally used in Japanese cuisine, domestic dishes are rarely used, are frozen goods.
