Honeybee is a kind of common resource insect in our country, which is widely cultivated because it can pollinate and produce honey. At present, most areas of our country have breeding, but if we want to raise bees well, we need to master certain skills. What is better for the newly bought beehive to paint? How to raise ability to produce honey?

1. Use cooked tung oil to brush the beehive. The cooked tung oil has a slight smell, but it is easy for bees to accept. After applying it, it can be used outside to dry for a period of time. It is waterproof, sunscreen and does not deform easily.

2. After boiling in a cauldron with rosin and beeswax at the ratio of 1:1, soak the whole beehive in the cauldron and boil for 3 minutes, which can drain the water in the wood. The beehive has a protective layer that can last for many years. Some people say that this method is the best of beehive painting.

3. Pour the waste oil into a cauldron and boil the whole beehive in the oil for three minutes and then take it out to dry. The beehive exposed in this way is black and shiny, long-lasting, moth-proof and corrosion-proof. But it will take at least half a year to use it.

High-yield culture techniques:

Choose the ideal beekeeping site

Beekeeping is the key to the success or failure of beekeeping production, whether it is fixed-site breeding, transfer-to-land breeding, colony reproduction and the choice of sites for overwintering. An ideal beekeeping site should have the following basic conditions: abundant honey and powder sources, good water sources, convenient transportation, high and dry terrain, open terrain, no other beehives within a radius of 2mur3 kilometers, and no pesticide pollution. If you set the land for breeding, you must choose the sunny, open southern slopes, mountains in the north to block the northwest wind, and southerly winds in summer, which is warm in winter and cool in summer. At the same time, it should be considered that there must be at least one main honey source and a variety of staggered auxiliary honey sources throughout the year in order to ensure the reproduction of the colony and obtain a large number of bee products. However, if the beehives are highly concentrated and the colony density is too high, no matter how good the honey source conditions are, there will inevitably be a situation of "too many bees in short supply". Therefore, these factors must be taken into account for beekeepers. In addition, the environment of the beekeeping farm must be quiet and clean, and it is not suitable to set up the beehive near railways, pastures and places where bees are more harmful, especially near pesticide warehouses and bee product processing plants (because there is a large amount of honey fragrance floating out when processing honey, it is easy to get in and difficult to get out, causing a large number of bees to die. Beekeeping in mountainous areas should also pay attention to flood control and fire prevention.

Choose a good colony of bees

When choosing and buying a bee colony, we should first make an external observation of the beehive, such as the worker bees come in and out frequently, and a large proportion of the worker bees return to the nest with pollen, which is generally good; when they are out of the box, if the bees are quiet and do not attack people, it means that the bees are docile and easy to manage; the worker bees have a new body color and a neat lid, which is connected into a large area, indicating that the bees are healthy. The queen bee is strong, steady, neatly spawned, fast, covered with fluff and bright colors, indicating that the queen bee is young and has a good physique. In addition, we should also observe the ratio of old bees to young bees, sugar spleen to offspring spleen, bright body color, and a large proportion of young bees to daughter bees are good colonies. In addition, for beginners who are just learning to keep bees, it is best to buy bees with part of the empty old nest spleen.

Check the bee colony.

With the change of seasons and the alternation of external honey sources, different changes will take place within the colony. Before the emergence of bee fever in spring and the beginning and end of the main nectar period, as well as the preparation of the colony before overwintering, the colony must be carefully examined in order to better grasp the situation of the colony and take corresponding management measures. According to different conditions, the inspection can be divided into three methods: comprehensive inspection, local inspection and out-of-box observation.

1. Comprehensive examination: check the hive spleen of the beehive, which is called comprehensive examination. The comprehensive inspection should be carried out when the wind is warm and the temperature is above 14 ℃. The proper tools must be prepared before the inspection, and the inspector must only stand on the side of the beehive and lean against the sun. The operation should be careful, and the action should be steady, accurate and brisk. When the beehive is full of spleen, you should first take the second spleen, temporarily put it next to the hive, or put it in the waiting box, such as the box that is not full of spleen, as long as the edge of the spleen is pushed to the side of the box. When examining each nest spleen, grasp the frame ear of the spleen frame with both hands and lift the spleen vertically. First observe one side of the nest and spleen and keep a distance of about one foot from the eyes. After looking at one side, the upper beam is erected, and the beam is used as an axis to turn outward for half a circle, and then both hands are flat to observe the other side. Observation depends on insects, eggs, bees, pollen and queen bees. The bee-sharing season depends on whether there is a natural king. When you put it back into the nest and spleen, you should be careful not to squeeze the bees, and the bee path should be wide and narrow.

2. Local examination: only need to know some conditions of the bees, or when the external temperature is low and there is a lack of honey sources, and it is not suitable for a comprehensive examination, only a few nests and spleen should be examined, which is called local examination. If honey is found in the edges of the nest and spleen during the inspection, there is no shortage of feed; there is a new nest in the middle of the nest and spleen, indicating the existence of a queen bee; and there is new wax on the nest and spleen, indicating that the bees have the ability to build the nest spleen.

3. Out-of-box observation: for out-of-box observation, the colony can be judged by inspecting the hive and observing the activity of bees at the door of the hive. If the collecting bees are busy in and out, collecting a large amount, and even returning to the nest and falling on the pedal with a snapping sound, it indicates that the honey period has entered; the worker bees crawl back and forth at the door of the nest, showing anxiety and restlessness, which may lose the performance of the king; if young bees crawling out of their wings from time to time are found in the nest, it is a symbol of harm to the bee enemy; spiders and powder droppings are often found inside and outside the box, there is a symbol of nest insect harm. Regardless of the climate, bees fly out of the nest at any time, and newly dead bees are found one or two meters in front of the nest, and it feels light to lift the hive, which may be due to the lack of honey in the nest. Observation outside the box in early spring or overwintering is necessary to understand the situation of the bee colony in time.
