Farmers: animal introduction, breeding, breeding should pay attention to avoid economic losses!

Last Updated: 2024/11/06, It is a regular work in animal husbandry production to introduce excellent varieties from A to B for reproduction and breeding. However, in production, animals often do not adapt due to introduction, or the productivity of introduced varieties cannot reach the production standard of original varieties, or the introduced animals die.

It is a regular work in animal husbandry production to introduce fine varieties from place A to place B for breeding and breeding, but animals often do not adapt to the introduction, or the productivity of the introduced varieties cannot meet the production standards of the original breeds. or the introduction of animals die, or cause the epidemic of animal diseases, form a long-term hidden danger of epidemic sources, pose a great threat to the breeding industry, and some even cause farmers to lose their property. Cause great economic losses. The matters needing attention in animal introduction are introduced as follows:

1. Formulate a practical introduction plan, and formulate a feasible introduction plan and plan according to the production demand and purpose, with a clear use and consistent demand. The environment and natural conditions of the animal producing areas cited must be roughly consistent with the local environmental and natural conditions. For example, tropical animal species cannot be raised in cold zones, while species in cold regions are difficult to raise in the tropics, and animals in dry areas are difficult to adapt to the environmental conditions in areas with abundant rainfall and humid conditions, and so on.

two。 To prepare before introduction, first, to prepare forage feed for introduced animals, to prepare nutritious and fresh feed, and second, to prepare isolation houses for introduced animals, which should be far away from the fauna of the breeding areas. the isolation house should be thoroughly sprayed and fumigated according to the situation to ensure cleanliness and hygiene. The third is to strictly disinfect the vehicles transporting animals, ideally with 3-4% caustic soda solution for spray disinfection; and fourth, to prepare for the introduction of animal vaccines and drugs.

3. For the selection of introduction breeders, the breeders and location of the imported area should be a non-epidemic area designated by the national animal husbandry and veterinary department, with a sound veterinary epidemic prevention system, standardized animal health behavior and strict management. When selecting introduction breeders, try to choose the newly-built animal farm, the best time to build the farm is no more than 5 years, and the larger the number of varieties introduced, the better, so as to facilitate selection. The breeders should have legal certificates for the sale of livestock and poultry, such as "qualification Certificate for Animal epidemic Prevention" and "production and Operation license of breeding Livestock and Poultry (Animal)" issued by functional departments. At the same time, the selected breeders should have a high production level and high quality of supporting services. Has a high degree of credibility.

4. Report registration and certificate, when transportation introduction, it is necessary to apply for introduction and registration to the local animal epidemic prevention supervision agency, and obtain the consent of the local animal epidemic prevention supervision agency. At the same time, it is necessary to report to the supervising agency for animal epidemic prevention in the place of export, through the supervisory agency for animal epidemic prevention in the place of export, to carry out origin quarantine on the introduced varieties, and to issue a "Certificate of Origin Quarantine" to qualified animals, hold the certificate of origin in exchange for the Certificate of Animal Transportation Quarantine out of the County, and carry out transportation with the Certificate of Disinfection of Animals and their products and the Certificate of No epidemic area of Major Animal Diseases, and the transported animals must wear immune marks.

5. In the selection and introduction of species animals, first, it is necessary to select species animals with obvious characteristics of this breed, consult the production level files of the cited animals, and consult the archives of at least three generations; animals of the same breed should introduce strains with high production performance to make the pedigree clear, the genetic performance is stable, and the bloodline is pure. Imported female animals require more nipples, no blind nipples, large vulva, straight back and developed rear drive; imported male animals require strong limbs, large and symmetrical testicles and obvious male characteristics.

6. Do a good job in transportation to reduce stress, choose vehicles of moderate size, and go through strict cleaning and disinfection, and should be covered with cushions such as sawdust or sand to prevent cushioning and resistance, so as to prevent animals from being injured by bumps and collisions during transportation. When loading the car, we should pay attention to the weight of the animals and pack the animals according to the weight as much as possible. For individuals with strong and uneasy personalities, tranquilizers can be injected appropriately; when transporting animals, try to create environmental conditions and opportunities to reduce stress, such as choosing cool weather in summer transportation to avoid overheating temperature, prevent heatstroke, and pay attention to the supply of animal drinking water; winter transportation to keep warm and prevent cold, prevent thieves, drive at a uniform speed as far as possible during transportation, and reduce the stress caused by emergency brakes.

7. The report of disease and death shall be handled in a standardized manner. if infectious diseases or suspicious infectious diseases are found during the transportation of species of animals, they shall be reported to the nearest supervising agency for animal epidemic prevention and emergency measures shall be taken; animals that die of illness during transportation shall not be slaughtered or discarded at will, and shall be dealt with in accordance with the relevant requirements and regulations under the supervision of the local supervision agency for animal epidemic prevention.

8. Immune detection to prevent disease entry, farmers in the export area must carry out programmed immunization according to the animal epidemic immunization procedure, and there are immune marks, and the breeders should provide immune files and related materials; some animals should be introduced after laboratory examination if necessary. Such as: brucellosis of dairy cows, tuberculosis and so on.

9. Be prepared to prevent the disease, be prepared for the constant temperature of the imported animals, especially in winter to ensure the temperature in the animal house, according to the age and requirements of the animals, to prevent the disease caused by too low temperature. In order to make a good feed transition for the introduced animals, the breeders should provide 3-5 days' feeding feed for the introduced animals, so as to facilitate the gradual transition of the feed after being imported, so as to adapt to the new feeding environment and prevent the disease.

10. Isolation observation to strengthen immunity, imported animals should be quarantined and observed for 20-30 days when they return to the breeding ground, and some of them can be longer. In this period, it is necessary to vaccinate some infectious diseases again, such as foot-and-mouth disease, swine plague, highly pathogenic avian influenza, chicken Newcastle disease and so on.

11. Strengthen feeding to ensure health, and do a good job in the feeding and management of imported animals. As long-distance transportation and remote migration and breeding of animals cause great stress to animals, therefore, after entering the market, animals are provided with clean drinking water, and electrolytes and vitamins (VC, VE, etc.) are added to the water to allow them to drink freely, and at the same time, animals are given a small amount of feed after a full rest for 4-8 hours, and it is best to feed the original feed for 4-6 days, and the animals can enter the normal state.

twelve。 Diseases should be treated as soon as possible, and once the animals are sick, they should be treated as soon as possible, and be isolated. Antibiotics can be properly added to other healthy animal feed to create suitable environmental hygiene conditions, strengthen management and ensure health.
